With the development of Internet information technology,the urbanization process promoted by science has been an important strategy in adjusting Chinese macroeconomic structure.Indeed,the urbanization level increased from 10.64%at the initial stage of founding People's Republic of China to 59.58%in 2018.There are three stages about Chinese urbanization:the first one is the early stage of development,from the founding People's Republic of China to the upcoming stage of reform and opening up;the second one is the stage of accelerated development,from reform and opening up to the end of last century;the third one is the stage of fast development,from the beginning of 21st century to present.Besides,the urbanization process of a country is closely related to the level of educational development,and they interact and influence each other on the ground that the rational allocation of educational resources boosts the development of urbanization as well as the acceleration of the urbanization provides opportunities for improving the allocation of educational resources.So,what is the distribution feature of regional space for allocation of educational resources,and whether there is correlation between urbanization development and optimizing allocation of educational resources,and in which way that the allocation of educational resources plays a positive role in urbanization.Based on the questions above,this study aims to explore the spatial differential characteristics of the allocation of educational resources and its driving way to urbanization.Furthermore,through the study on these questions,it provides great practical significance for the Shandong Provincial Urbanization Work Leading Group,Shandong Provincial Department of Education and other departments to formulate policies that promote the urbanization development by optimizing the allocation of educational resources.The main research content of this study is as follows.Firstly,the basic development condition of Shandong Province was introduced.Then,the spatial differential characteristics of the allocation of educational resources were explored by exploratory spatial data analysis?ESDA?.Next,the dynamic evolution characteristics of urbanization level in Shandong Province in the past decade were deduced,and the Gini coefficient between the allocation of educational resources and town population was used to assess the fairness of the allocation of educational resources in the urbanization process.Still,Granger causality test was conducted on the comprehensive evaluation value of the allocation of educational resources and urbanization level.Besides,the measurement variables in the structural equation model?SEM?to measure the urbanization process and the allocation of educational resources were defined and the exogenous variables through factor analysis were extracted.Lastly,the structural equation model?SEM?of the allocation of educational resources to urbanization process was established,and some advice was provided on boosting urbanization through optimizing the allocation of educational resources according to the research founding.The founding shows that the efficiency of comprehensive allocation of educational resources in Shandong Province is in descending order from coast to inland,and the allocation of educational resources presents"hot spots?HH?","cold spots?LL?"and"singular values?LH,HL?"in terms of spatial distribution.Secondly,the kernel density function indicates that urbanization level in Shandong Province is increasing and the gap between different regions in terms of urbanization is narrowing.Besides,the Gini coefficient basically fluctuates from 0.35 to 0.5,with a fluctuating downward trend,which reveals that the allocation of educational resources is fair.Through comparison,optimizing the allocation of educational resources in Shandong Province shows a resemblance with urbanization development in term of development characteristics,and they are same from the perspective of overall trends.Thirdly,the comprehensive evaluation value of the allocation of educational resources and the level of urbanization are Granger reasons of each other.Fourthly,based on SEM,it is found that the allocation of educational resources exerts a significantly positive role in urbanization process through education resource investment,education resource environment,education resource capacity.Finally,some suggestions are given to accelerate urbanization process and to improve urbanization quality.
