Since the 1990 s,China's urbanization has been developing rapidly, and the urban spatial form and industrial structure have undergone great changes, and the unparalleled economic growth has been achieved. However, rapid urbanization also inevitably brings about the adverse consequences such as unbalanced land use structure and low land use efficiency. With the deepening of urbanization in China, the scarcity of land resources cannot meet the "rigid demand" of rapid urbanization. Therefore, promoting the intensive use of land has become a key link to achieve high-quality economic growth in China. In this paper, based on the analysis of relevant influence mechanism and from the perspective of spatial dependence and spatial heterogeneity, the paper takes Prefecture-level cities in China as the research object and establishes the Spatial Durbin Model to empirically explore the impact of urban land intensive use on economic development through spatial visualization analysis. In addition, the research samples of 262 prefecture-level cities were divided with per capital GDP as the threshold variable. The threshold regression model is used to empirically analyze whether the marginal elasticity of urban land intensive utilization to economic development has changed under different levels of urban economic development. This is of great significance to optimize the rational use of urban land resources. In this paper,262 prefecture-level cities in China are taken as research objects to study land intensive use from four aspects of land use intensity, structure and input-output benefit.Based on Stata16,from spatial correlation analysis, this paper uses the Spatial Durbin Model(SDM)to explore China's 2004-2017,the urban land intensive utilization of influence on economic development, the results show that the land all of investment in fixed assets, construction land area per capita, and all budget revenue, stock of financial scale, the per capita amount of actual use of foreign capital and the level of industrial structure can directly effect on the city's economic development have a significant positive role in promoting; The proportion of industrial land also has a positive effect on the economic development of the city, but not significant.Based on the analysis of spatial heterogeneity, the panel threshold model is used to empirically explore the impact of urban land intensive use on economic development.Urban per capita GDP as the threshold variable, the results show that the system of land intensive utilization of various aspects as area different and differences on the influence of per capital GDP,which to all its influence on the development of the urban economy of investment in fixed assetswith the scale enlargement of urban economy has significantly increasing trend,to both budget revenue is also with the scale enlargement of urban economy has significantly increased, and the proportion of industrial land to urban economic development with the improvement of city's economic development level and the effect of significantly different, first by no significant negative effects eventually evolved into a negative significant inhibitory effect. With the improvement of urban economic development level, the marginal contribution of per capita construction land area to urban per capital GDP is positive.Financial scale stock ? per capital actual use of foreign capital amount and industrial structure have a significant promoting effect on urban economic development, and the industrial structure has the strongest promoting effect. In other words, under different urban economic scale, the land intensive utilization has significant difference to the marginal elasticity of economic development.
