Quality Improvement Plan In Company A's Supplier Based On 6Sigma Management

With the rapid development of social economy and technology,there are more and more consumer electronic products in the market and the market competition has become more and more fierce.Consumer electronic products are characterized by low profit per single product,large manufacture scale and short development cycle which requires manufacturers to have a stable supply chain in order to face increasingly severe cost and supply challenges.To meet these challenges,most companies choose to import new suppliers for competition and price bargain to reduce the cost of supply chain and improve product quality for competitiveness enhance.New suppliers are able to bring huge profits,but there are many problems in the import stage.Company A's product mainly include the new generation of tablet computers,laptops,mobile phones and other consumer electronics and the general micro-speaker is an indispensable component of these products.Company A has introduced a new supplier for the micro-speaker component for the purpose of low cost and steady supply chain.However,due to the complexity of product characteristics and production processes,the new supplier has a low yield rate and cannot meet the strong demand from customers and received customer complaint.This paper first reviews the basic theories of Six Sigma and DMAIC model and with these theories,DMAIC research is carried out with the example of micro-speaker component to improve product yield.During the implementation of the project,the major quality issue and influencing factors is identified through collected customer's voice and Plato data analysis.The best quality improvement plan is obtained with the help of data analysis software(Minitab),measurement system analysis(MSA),variance analysis method(ANOVA)and design of experiment(DOE)related tools.The quality of products has been greatly improved and the upstream supply has been stabilized.Through the implementation of the quality improvement plan for the micro-speaker supplier of company A,on one hand,it reduces the cost,improves the product quality and competitiveness of the enterprise,on the other hand,it provides a reference for the implementation of Six Sigma quality management and supplier quality improvement within the enterprise.
