Analysis Of The Impact Of Industrial Development On Poverty Reduction In Rural Areas In Hunan Province Under The Background Of Rural Revitalization Strategy

Since the reform and opening up,China's poverty alleviation policy has achieved remarkable results.The rural poor population has dropped from 770 million in 1978 to 16.6million at the end of 2018,and the incidence of poverty has also dropped from 97.5% to 1.7%.The effect of poverty alleviation is remarkable.At present,we are in the coincidence period between the rush stage of fighting against poverty and the beginning stage of the strategy of rural revitalization.Therefore,it is the most important task at this stage that we should promote the organic combination of fighting against poverty and Rural Revitalization in order to ensure that all the rural poverty can be lifted out by 2020 under the current standards of our country.Therefore,this paper will provide reference measures for poverty alleviation and industrial revitalization by studying the impact of industrial development on poverty alleviation and income level in Hunan Province.By reading a lot of literature and collecting data,this paper studies the impact of industrial development on poverty reduction from two aspects of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis.In the first chapter,the introduction part analyses the research background and significance,combs the related domestic and foreign research on poverty,poverty reduction and poverty reduction effect of industrial growth,expounds the research content,methods and ideas of the paper,and finally explains the innovation and shortcomings of this paper.Chapter two illustrates the concepts of poverty,industrial development and Rural Revitalization Strategy as well as related theories.Chapter three mainly analyses the current situation of rural revitalization,industrial development and poverty alleviation in Hunan Province.The fourth chapter mainly elaborates the impact of Rural Revitalization Strategy on industrial development,Rural Revitalization Strategy on poverty reduction and industrial development on poverty reduction.In the fifth chapter,through the establishment of panel data model,combined with the data of 37 poverty-stricken counties in Hunan Province from2013 to 2017,we use Stata14.0 software to empirically test the impact of primary,secondary and tertiary industries on the incidence of poverty and income levels.Chapter 6 summarizes the measurement results,and puts forward relevant policy suggestions to reduce poverty,increase income and promote regional economic growth in the light of Hunan's own actual situation.The study finds that the added value of primary,secondary and tertiary industries has a positive impact on poverty alleviation and income improvement.As far as all poor counties are concerned,especially in the poverty-stricken counties at the national level,the povertyreduction effect of the secondary and tertiary industries is more significant,and the impact on income level is greater than that of the primary industry.But in general poor counties,we find that the impact of primary industry on income level is greater than that of secondary and tertiary industries.Therefore,it is necessary to develop industries suitable to local conditions,increase the development of characteristic industries,improve the industrial structure to provide more employment opportunities,so as to promote the economic development of rural areas and achieve poverty reduction and income increase of the poor.
