In the 1990s,China and South Korea established diplomatic relations,and China and South Korea reached cooperation in many fields and achieved a series of remarkable achievements.Looking at the development of Korean companies in China,it is not very smooth.Since 2000,the investment of Korean companies in China has been declining.Especially after the financial crisis in 2008,many Korean companies were overwhelmed and chose to withdraw from China in order to protect themselves.The occurrence of the divestment incident is not only closely related to the economic environment.The core issue is that Korean companies have not rationally resolved the cultural conflict between China and South Korea.This has created a series of obstacles that are not conducive to Korean companies in China.The long-term sustainable development eventually leads to failure.Therefore,for Chinese-funded enterprises in China,cross-cultural conflict management is a major problem in their development.How to effectively deal with cross-cultural conflict management issues will be of great significance to Korean-funded enterprises in China.This article takes the Samsung SDI Shanghai subsidiary as an example to analyze the cross-cultural conflicts faced by Chinese and Korean enterprises.The first chapter of the thesis introduces the background and significance of conducting cross-cultural management research in Korean companies in China,and sorts out the research status of cross-cultural management between China and South Korea.The second chapter of the thesis gives an overview of the relevant theoretical knowledge of cross-cultural management.It mainly introduces the meaning of corporate culture,the content and way of cross-cultural communication,Hofstadt's "four dimensions of culture" theory,Korean culture,Korean culture Features,types,etc.,provide a reference framework for the next step of research and analysis.The third chapter of the thesis uses the national cultural model to analyze the case of Samsung SDI Shanghai subsidiary.It analyzes the national culture,management concept,corporate culture and management methods,and analyzes the ones facing the company's operation and development.The series of cultural differences and their adverse effects.The fourth chapter of the thesis puts forward the improvement strategy of cross-cultural conflict management of Samsung SDI Shanghai subsidiary,and evaluates the solution and measures through questionnaire survey.The fifth chapter is the research results,shortcomings and future research directions.Through the management of effective cross-cultural conflicts,Samsung SDI Shanghai subsidiary has greatly stimulated the enthusiasm and initiative of employees.The employees of China and South Korea have adopted a more harmonious collaboration.The company has brought new vitality and has driven the development of the company.This paper provides an effective reference for the development of other Korean companies in China,helping them to solve cultural conflicts,thereby promoting their long-term sustainable and healthy development,and thus driving the rapid development of China and South Korea's economy.It is expected that the research in this paper can provide a useful reference for the cultural management of multinational enterprises.
