With the consumers’ diversified demand and the in-depth of technological innovation,the electronic products with rapid iteration.Most EMS enterprise are forced to cooperate closely with other enterprises of supply chain to meet the rapid-changing market requirement.The material expenses occupied high percent of total manufacturing cost of electronics products,means supplier plays a key role in the supply chain competition.The high capability of supplier management will be enhance enterprises competitive in the market,an available supplier management method can help enterprises integrate suppliers’ resource and competitive advantages to reduce cost,and co-development new market to improve profit to achieve win-win for both supplier and enterprises.Flextronics is a top EMS provider with extensive global supplier resources to serve diverse customer groups.Firstly,this article research Flextronics’ supplier management status and find out the problems in supplier management through Brain-storming analysis,the main problems such as the supplier information of dashboard is insufficient,supplier classification management is very disorderly,repeat supplier selection process,the cooperation desire of supplier is very low.Secondly,supplier Management solutions focus on the four aspects of centralize management for supplier information,optimize of supplier classification and grading management,optimize supplier evaluate and supplier selection process,enhance supplier relationship.Collect relevant information for all of Flextronics group’s suppliers according to major interfering factors of supplier evaluate and supplier selection,and establishment of a supplier information management platform as information flow;classify for the supplier scientifically,then rank supply grading for each supplier categories base on the data of supplier information management platform;Improve supplier evaluate method,optimize the supplier selection process to improve selection efficiency and accuracy rate;Eliminating inferior suppliers to driving other suppliers more activities,increase cooperation opportunities with qualified suppliers to enhance relationship,and standardizes new supplier input process to realize dynamic management for supplier resource.Finally,analysis the key point and difficulties implemented of supplier management optimization strategy,and focus on the three aspects of organization,management system,training to ensure the optimization strategy can implemented well.Supplier management is a long-term,dynamic and systematic project.This article is based on the experience and methods accumulated by Flextronics group ’Supplier Management optimization Research and hopes to have a positive effect on Flextronics’ ability to improve its supply management capabilities.EMS industry provides a reference for improving the efficiency of supply chain operations and reducing costs.
