The Research On Online B&B Industry Development And Its Government Regulation Under The Background Of Sharing Economy

With the popularization of the concept of sharing economy,people's consumption concept has also increased.Consumers favor Online B&B because of their low price and convenient way of transaction.After promotion and development in recent years,more and more people have accepted this new way of accommodation.However,as a emerging service-oriented format,the problems in the process of rapid development have stood out.Although the platform enterprises continue to improve themselves,they strive to break through the current development dilemma of the technical level in the industry.However,only relying on the platform cannot solve the fundamental problem.New industries need government intervention to elevate the customer experience in market competition,fully exert its advantages to achieve sustainable development of this industry.The government,as a macroscopic policymaker and industry regulator,has crucial adjustment ability on B&B industry development.Regulation has always been policy-oriented and actively supports.This paper reviews the development status of online bed and breakfast industry in China under the background of "Internet + Share Economy",including the development history of online B&B platform companies.Taking Hangzhou as an example,this paper focuses on the development of Hangzhou online B&B industry and the major difficulties faced by government regulation.It intends to offer effective suggestions for major issues.This paper consists of five parts: The first part explained the background and value of this topic,gave some detailed literature reviews on major research,clarified the main research methods and framework,and introduced the research innovations and insufficiency.In the second chapter,firstly,it defined the related concepts involved in the research,including sharing economy,online B&B;Secondly,it expounded the theoretical basis of government regulation—Trust,Market Regulation and Synergetic Governance.The third chapter gave an overview of the development path and characteristics of China's online B&B industry,highlighted the development of B&B platform companies;Illustrated by the case of Hangzhou,the paper analyzed its development status by using multi-dimensional data.From this data,we can get Hangzhou has a well-developed market in the B&B industry.This chapter also pointed out the main problems,including personal property security,regulatory difficulties caused by gaps in the law,and imperfect social credit system.Chapter Four focused on the main issues listed in the previous chapter,recognizing that due to asymmetric information,challenges to the traditional accommodation industry,and blurred boundaries between personal and professional,the government must participate in supervision and management.Existing policies were summarized from the national and local levels and combined with the status of government regulation in this industry.It analyzed difficulties in government participation in regulation: the difficulty for the government to intervene in regulation,to criticize and execute according to law,and to supervise online platforms.In the fifth chapter,specific improvement suggestions are proposed from the perspectives of law and public management,for improving the level of legislation,clarifying the primary responsibility and promoting the construction of supporting mechanism,in order to improve the government regulation of online B&B industry in Hangzhou and make it useful.
