Research On Economic Development And Tourism Poverty Alleviation Efficiency In Poor Counties

Achieving a well-off society in an all-round way in 2020 is the first century-old goal of the Party's report of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.To achieve this goal,we must first eliminate poverty.In order to solve the historical problem of poverty,China has made great efforts on the road to poverty alleviation and has achieved remarkable results.In the new period,those areas with a large number of poor people and a high rate of return to poverty are the main battlefields for poverty alleviation.Yunnan is rich in tourism resources and the tourism industry is becoming more and more mature.The development of regional tourism has played a significant role in driving the economy,and has helped the poverty alleviation work achieve remarkable results.Yunnan Province has formulated a special tourism poverty alleviation plan and plans to create a series of tourism poverty alleviation demonstration counties.After three years of development,many impoverished counties have taken off their hats and relying on tourism development to give full play to the leading role of tourism,but the specific results are worthy of further study.To this end,this article makes a comparative analysis of the economic development of nine poor counties in Yunnan Province in the past three years.Based on this,this paper studies the poverty alleviation efficiency of tourism in the nine poor counties,and explores the main problems facing the development of poverty alleviation by tourism.It is of practical significance to propose efficiency improvement strategies for the long-term and healthy development of impoverished counties in Yunnan Province,to improve specific measures for poverty alleviation through tourism,and to prevent the poor from returning to poverty.The thesis consists of six chapters,and the research contents are as follows:The first chapter elaborates the background of the topic and the significance of the research,collates and summarizes the research trends of domestic and foreign scholars;elaborates the research content of this article and two innovations,the research methods and technical routes that this article will take;The second chapter clarifies the related concepts.The theoretical basis of thisarticle: economic efficiency theory,input-output theory,and tourism income multiplier effect theory.This is the theoretical starting point of this research.The third chapter selects nine poverty-stricken counties in Yunnan Province as case points,and uses the factor analysis method to comprehensively evaluate the economic development status of the nine poverty-stricken counties.The study finds that the respective tourism developments of the nine poverty-stricken counties contribute differently to the economic development.Among them,Luoping County,Mangshi City,Mengla County,Binchuan County and Yuanyang County have relatively high contribution rates to economic development,while Luquan County,Cangyuan County,Wuding County and Yulong County have relatively low contribution rates.Divided into four types according to the comprehensive score of each poor county: strong,strong,weak,weak.The fourth chapter uses the DEA model to establish a tourism poverty alleviation efficiency evaluation system,selects nine poor counties for empirical research,compares the differences in tourism poverty alleviation efficiency values of nine poor counties,summarizes the main factors affecting tourism poverty alleviation efficiency,and analyzes the nine poverty counties' tourism Reasons for significant differences in poverty reduction efficiency.Chapter fifth analyzes and summarizes the problems existing in the development of tourism poverty alleviation based on the previous research results of case sites,and further puts forward suggestions and strategies for improving efficiency;Chapter sixth concludes the research,summarizes the shortcomings in this article,and looks forward to future research directions.
