Research On The Effect Of Internet Resources On Economic Transformation Efficiency Based On Sci-Tech Innovation Intermediary

Under the new normal of economy,China is at the crucial stage of economic transformation.In this critical period,the rapid development of the internet and China's increasingly strong driving force for innovation have become a new power for economic transformation and upgrading.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to evaluate the current development level of economic transformation and give a further research for the impact of internet resources and technological innovation on economic transformation.In the performance evaluation of economic transformation,considering the uneven development and inconsistent pace of regional economic transformation due to the different natural endowments,this paper divides 30 provinces of China into resource-based regions and non-resource-based regions.First,the efficiency of economic transformation under three different circumstances was measured and compared by sub-region based on the cross-efficiency DEA model and evaluated the results of economic transformation after.Subsequently,using the analysis method of the intermediary effect and taking scientific and technological innovation as the intermediary variable to explore the impacts of the development level of Internet resources on China's economic transformation and upgrading as well as scientific and technological innovation.Finally,the internet resource level index is used as the threshold variable to explore the non-linear effects between the development level of internet resource and economic transition based on the panel threshold regression model.The results of the research are as following:(1)The performance of economic transformation between different regions in China is quite different.The overall transformation effect of non-resource-based regions is far better than that of resource-rich regions.Most of the provinces in excellent transition regions belong to non-resource-based regions.The economic development of resource-rich regions is greatly inhibited by the "resource curse" and environmental regulations.(2)The efficiency of economic transformation in three different situations,nationally and regionally,has shown an increasing trend over time.But the overall level is not high enough.The average value of China's economic transformation efficiency at the end of 2017 was 0.649,indicating that the process of China's economic transformation has been ongoing,and the transformation has achieved remarkable results while there is still much room for improvement.(3)China's Internet resources and technological innovation in the whole country and subregions have a significant positive effect on China's economic transformation efficiency,and the effect of the development level of internet resources on economic transformation and upgrading will not only have a direct effect,but also plays an indirect role through technology innovation.Scientific and technological innovation in the resource-rich regions caused the strongest mediating effect up to 0.075.(4)There is a non-linear effect of internet resources on economic transformation in the country and resource-rich regions,and the role of internet resources in promoting economic transformation and upgrading gradually increases with the increase in the level of Internet resources,especially in resource-rich regions.Finally,this article puts forward policy suggestions for improving the level of "Internet +" and technological innovation based on the perspective of economic transformation.
