It is urgent to solve the major challenges facing the manufacturing industry under the circumstances of rising production costs,the disappearance of the demographic dividend,shrinking profit margins and labor shortage.Against this background,China proposes the "made in China 2025" strategy,which focuses on intelligent manufacturing and accelerates the transformation from a manufacturing power to a super manufacturing power.In the context of manufacturing intellectualization,Chinese manufacturing enterprises need to seize opportunities to improve their niche in the innovation ecosystem.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the niche optimization mechanism of manufacturing enterprises under the background of manufacturing intellectualization.Around the question: "How to Optimize the Niche of Manufacturing Enterprises under the Background of Intelligent Manufacturing",the introduction of the perspective of resource reconfiguration,this study focuses on exploring how the resource reconfiguration affects ambidextrous learning in the context of manufacturing intellectualization,so as to improve the enterprise niche,build up "resource reconfiguration-ambidextrous learning-niche " optimization mechanism.After reviewing the literature,this study adopts the design method of multi-case study to select four manufacturing intelligent transformation enterprises,namely SH,CF,JY and XA.The selection of case enterprises is typical.After the single case analysis and cross-case comparison,come to the conclusion of this study.The specific conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Resource reconfiguration has a positive impact on ecological niche.(2)Resource reconfiguration has a positive impact on ambidextrous learning: on the one hand,resource reset realizes exploratory learning by contacting new resources;On the other hand,resource recombination promotes the exploitative learning by adjusting the internal structure.(3)Ambidextrous learning plays an intermediary role in the impact of resource reconfiguration on the ecological niche: the exploration and exploitative learning have an asymmetric effect on the niche ecostate-ecorole,and the exploratory learning has a greater impact on the niche ecorole,while the exploitative learning has a significant impact on the niche ecostate-ecorole.Exploratory learning mainly plays an intermediary role in the impact of resource reset on the ecological ecorole,while exploitative learning plays an intermediary role in the impact of resource recombination on the niche ecostate-ecorole.The theoretical contributions of this study are as follows:(1)This study introduces resource reconfiguration to analyze the mechanism of niche optimization.(2)In the research of ecological niche,manufacturing intellectualization is introduced to enrich the research scenario of innovation ecosystem.(3)Each population in the innovation ecosystem plays an important role in niche optimization of manufacturing enterprises.Because of the complementary symbiotic relationship among the main bodies of innovation ecosystem,the utilization of various cluster resources deepens the resource reconfiguration and optimizes the enterprise niche.At the same time,this study also has certain management implications for manufacturing enterprises:(1)This study provides reference for enterprises facing manufacturing intellectualization.Manufacturing intellectualization cannot be completed by an enterprise alone,but requires the resources of each subject in the innovation ecosystem.(2)Attach importance to ambidextrous learning in the process of manufacturing intellectualization,and reasonably carry out exploratory learning and exploitative learning.(3)Large enterprises can realize exploratory and exploitative learning both,while small enterprises can give priority to exploitative learning if they cannot give attention to both.
