Construction Of Green Supply Chain In Hotel Industry

At the present the rising status of Green Supply Chain(GSC)is driven mainly by the increasing deterioration of the environment,for instance diminishing raw material resources,overflowing waste sites and increasing levels of pollution.But as well it's about being profitable,not only environmentally friendly.There is an increasing need for integrating environmentally sound choices into green supply chain research in hotel industry.This paper reviews the structure of GSC in hotel industry,within Tourism Supply Chain(TSC)and Hospitality Supply Chain(HSC)and Service Supply Chain(SSC).GSCM in the manufacturing industry has got wide research interest over the past time,however studies of GSC in the hospitality industry are very limited.The case study research aims to explore the structure of Green Supply Chain in New Century Grand hotel.The single case design is chosen to answer the objectives in order to construct a Green Supply Chain model.The rationale behind the decision to adopt a single case design is to test theory that is considered to developing Green Supply Chain model reduces negative environmental impacts on the ecosystems and reducing the cost.The main aim of this study is to construct Green Supply Chain model in hotel industry,to show experience of adopting green supply chain that are currently used in New Century Grand hotel on reducing environmental pollution across hotel supply chain and how it can help to increase the efficiency.As well to analyze strong and weak sides of adoption Green Supply Chain,and provide future improvement suggestions.
