Research On The Impact Of Agglomeration Of Productive Services In The Yangtze River Delta City Cluster On Manufacturing Production Eficiency

The manufacturing industry is an important engine of China's economic development.In recent years,the manufacturing industry and the service industry have kept pace,and they are two important components of China's economic development.The Yangtze River Delta region has the highest level of manufacturing and overall economic development in China.Over the years,China 's secondary industry has been dominated by traditional manufacturing industries,and all industries are located in the downstream of the value chain.Most of them are mainly labor-intensive industries.The technology content of products and services is low,and the unit energy consumption is large.With the expansion of production scale,the marginal benefits are getting lower and lower,and even the phenomenon of diseconomies of scale occurs.The producer service industry originates from the production service department within the manufacturing industry and is an intermediate link in the manufacturing activities of the manufacturing industry,providing supporting services and guarantees for the manufacturing industry.It can improve the production efficiency while maintaining the continuous promotion of technological progress and industrial upgrading in the manufacturing process of the manufacturing industry.Production service industry does not directly provide services or output utility to consumers,but accelerates the integration of manufacturing and service industries.Producer service industry has an effect on manufacturing efficiency through the externality of agglomeration,which is expressed as follows: Producer service industry agglomeration can accelerate industry technology by accelerating the accumulation of human resources,thereby better providing better quality and more Professional outsourcing services reduce production costs,increase production increments,and increase production efficiency for the manufacturing industry.Secondly,the agglomeration of producer services can improve the overall technology and innovation level of the industry through technological spillovers,thereby improving and enhancing the production technology of the manufacturing industry and the production efficiency.Thirdly,the production service industry is clustered together,and the resulting competitive effect can enable companies to independently reduce service costs,provide differentiated products for manufacturing companies,and strive for more market share.By analyzing and summarizing these three ways that the agglomeration of producer services has an impact on the production efficiency of the manufacturing industry,the theoretical research basis of this paper is obtained.The Yangtze River Delta region is the region with the highest development level and agglomeration of domestic producer services.Taking the Yangtze River Delta region as an example,analyzing the impact of producer service industry agglomeration on manufacturing efficiency will provide a theoretical reference for other regions.In addition,by combing the literature on the impact of productive service industry agglomeration on manufacturing production efficiency,it is found that the impact of productive service industry agglomeration on manufacturing production efficiency is non-linear,and the effect is different under different conditions.The development of various industries is closely related to the level of local economic development.Where the total economic volume is greater,the policy environment and hardware conditions are more complete.Under different levels of economic development,the impact of agglomeration of productive services on manufacturing production efficiency is also different.By comparing various externality and production efficiency measurement methods,this paper uses the K-space index,Hefindahl-Hirschman index and location entropy index to measure the three externalities agglomeration of the production service industry,and uses Malmquist-The Dea Index method measures the total factor production efficiency of manufacturing in 26 cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2000 to 2017.After calculation,it is found that cities with larger economic aggregates have stronger three external effects and higher agglomeration of producer services.Then,this paper adopts the panel threshold model and uses GDP per capita as the threshold variable to measure the relationship between producer service industry agglomeration and manufacturing efficiency under different GDP per capita.Empirical findings show that when GDP per capita is at a low level,the three effects of agglomeration of producer services all inhibit the improvement of manufacturing productivity,and with the increase of GDP per capita,the three externalities promote the production efficiency of manufacturing.The effect is getting stronger.In view of the current basic situation of the concentration of producer services in the Yangtze River Delta region and the production efficiency of the manufacturing industry,this article puts forward the following policy recommendations:Develop the agglomeration economy according to local conditions and create a regional brand of producer service industries;Promote the synergy between producer services and manufacturing industries;Reasonably guide investment and change development analyzes the relationship between the two at different levels of economic development,thus more It reveals in detail that at different levels of economic development,the impact of the agglomeration of producer services on the production efficiency of the manufacturing industry is staged.The shortcomings of this article are: Missing some indicator data of some regions and cities;Missing data of manufacturing output value of some regions,which is a unified indicator.When calculating manufacturing production efficiency,industrial output value is used instead of manufacturing The total output value.
