Research Of Effect Of Technological Innovations Of SME In Tianjin High-tech Zone On Operational Performance

Small and Medium enterprises are a vital part of our country's economy and play an important role in promoting economic development,employment rates,social hamrmony and stability.To some degree,the ability of innovation in technologies and research owned by small and medium enterprises is the mirror of our country's comprehensive strength and independent innovation ability.Generally speaking,increase in spending money on the research can help companys improve their performance and enchance their core competence.Many shcolors have made a vast number of studys on wether investment in research and development can have a positive effect on improving the company's performance in operation,howver,the conclusions are different.This thesis takes 67 small and medium companys registered in Tian Jin high-tech zone and their relevant datas from the year 2014 to the year 2016 as the samples to study.In the study model,the research and development expenses are the explanatory variable,the return of assets and enterprise efficiency are the explained variable.The size of a enterpise,Debt asset ratio,intensity of capital,the length of a enterprise's life are controlling variables.Through empirical analysis,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Small and medium-sized enterprises in Tianjin high-tech zone have great individual differences in technological innovation.From the perspective of the industry,the investment in technological innovation of biological pharmaceuticals is the highest,and the investment in technological innovation of new material industry is the lowest.In 2014 and 2015,the investment intensity of technological innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises in Tianjin high-tech zone was about the same,with a certain degree of improvement in 2016.(2)According to the study on enterprise efficiency in Tianjin high-tech zone,DJ,ZT,SG,SND and YTSH have the highest efficiency and can serve as a benchmark for other enterprises to follow.Some enterprises show a trend of decreasing efficiency during the research period.These enterprises should take the enterprises with high efficiency as the benchmark and optimize the structure of technological innovation in terms of r&d investment and talent introduction.(3)R&d input intensity has a significant positive correlation with both enterprise profit index and enterprise efficiency index.It is the right decision to create profits and improve enterprise efficiency through technological innovation.The research and development investment intensity has a lag effect on enterprise performance.It shows that enterprises should focus on the future in the stage of technological innovation,and should not reduce the investment in technological innovation due to the increase of cost input.
