Research On Upgrading Of China's Equipment Manufacturing Industry Based On GVC

Equipment manufacturing industry is a pillar industry related to the national economy and the people's livelihood.It has the characteristics of wide coverage,wide categories,many kinds of products,capital intensive,technology intensive,labor-intensive and widely absorbing employment.It is the only way to achieve the goal and task of manufacturing power to expand and strengthen the equipment manufacturing industry.Since the reform and opening up,China's equipment manufacturing industry,with its comparative advantage of low labor cost and other factors,has made rapid development by means of OEM or trade processing embedded in the international division of labor system led by multinational companies in developed countries.Especially after China's accession to the WTO,China's equipment manufacturing industry has continuously improved its position in the global value chain and deepened its participation.However,China's equipment manufacturing industry still needs to import core parts from developed countries,the development situation of exporting complete sets of final equipment has not changed,and China's equipment manufacturing industry is still in the fundamental situation of low added value in the global value chain.Therefore,after the international financial crisis,China's equipment manufacturing industry began to change the way of globalization and upgrading.The party and government put forward the goal and task of building a strong manufacturing country,during which a series of major measures such as“made in China 2025”were put forward and implemented.However,due to the outstanding problems in the transformation and upgrading of China's equipment manufacturing industry,as well as the internal and external factors such as technology blockade and international trade disputes of multinational companies,the upgrading process of China's equipment manufacturing industry in the global value chain was resulted In this context,the main purpose of this paper is to explore the upgrading of China's equipment manufacturing industry under the global value chain.Based on the reality of the development of China's equipment manufacturing industry,and based on the theory of international division of labor,the theory of new economic growth,the theory of industrial upgrading under GVC and the theory of technological innovation,the research defines the relevant concepts of global value chain and equipment manufacturing industry by using the methods of framework combing and system analysis..Through the construction of multiple linear regression model,this paper analyzes the objective factors that affect the upgrading of China's equipment manufacturing industry under the global value chain,and concludes that the insufficient level of capital and technology investment,and the low level of domestic intermediate production support are the important factors that restrict the improvement of China's equipment manufacturing industry's international division of labor.Through literature study and research,this paper objectively analyzes the development status of China's equipment manufacturing industry,and puts forward some outstanding problems in the development process of China's equipment manufacturing industry:weak technological innovation ability;imperfect industrial chain,low level of domestic intermediate production supporting;difficult financing and expensive financing of equipment manufacturing industry,low investment level;overcapacity and structural imbalance;“Anti globalization”,trade friction and other external influences.In addition,based on the successful experience of the development of foreign developed manufacturing powers,combined with the actual situation of China's equipment manufacturing industry,this paper creatively puts forward the“three-step”upgrading path of China's equipment manufacturing industry,that is,to build a complete domestic value chain(NVC);to lead the regional value chain(RVC);to actively participate in the upgrading path of global value chain(GVC),and to promote China The feasible countermeasures and suggestions for upgrading and developing the equipment manufacturing industry are implementing the innovation driven strategy,enhancing the independent intellectual property rights;improving the service quality of the related supporting links in the equipment manufacturing industry;providing financing services that are compatible with the development of the equipment manufacturing industry;and promoting the equipment manufacturing industry to go out by international production capacity cooperation;and realizing the upgrading of the Internet plus equipment manufacturing industry chain's intelligent information technology;the equipment manufacturing industry and producer service industry form a linkage industrial chain and develop together.
