Study On The New Urbanization Of Yingtan City

Since the Reform and Opening in 1979,China's urbanization has made remarkable achievements.?China 2018 New Urbanization Development Report?pointed out that the remarkable development of urbanization has been achieved by comparing with the other countries.In the year of 2015,the urbanization rate increased to 56%.In 2019,the number has exceeded 60%.The high-speed growth has not only changed the life of millions of Chinese farmers but also empowered the further economic development.This change has both supported the industrialization and further promoted the national modernization process.In the coming few years,the migration from rural area to urban area will be at a speed of 20 million per year,indicating China's urbanization process will be further accelerated.The large-scale migration is featured with China's uniqueness.The features include the following two points:1.Chinese farmers take up the most part of the nation's population,which requires the policy-makers to consider how to meet the need of migrating farmers in the terms of economy,education,social welfare,Medicare and so on;2.Farmers have difficulties in adapt the economic activities in the cities due to the decades segregation from the urban economy since the age of planned economy.This requires government to educate and lead them to participate in the urban activities.In this context,the research on paving the way of the new urbanization is of pivotal significance.As the smallest and youngest provincial city in Jiangxi province,Yingtan has its unique advantages in urbanization construction.Based on the research on new urbanization of Yingtan city,which combining government departments of statistics,and literature reference studies,this dissertation summarizes the situations of new urbanization at Yingtan city in the recent years.The author performed data in-depth analysis on the level of per capital GDP,industrialization,and the urbanization development stage,pointing out the problems existing at present,coming up with thoughts about the policies for the further urbanization at Yingtan city by locating its precise position in this process.
