Today,with the rapid development of the world economy,the development of the financial industry is also unstoppable.The fierce competition in the financial market and the complex and ever-changing financial environment make China's commercial banks not only under tremendous pressure,but also face huge challenges.Therefore,China's commercial banks need effective performance evaluation methods to improve the bank's organizational performance,thereby enhancing their own competitiveness.Choosing an appropriate performance evaluation method to evaluate the performance of commercial banks has important practical significance.This article selects Bank D as the research object,and firstly describes the research background,research significance,research methods and related domestic and foreign research reviews;Then,in the relevant theories,the balanced scorecard theory,the performance evaluation theory of commercial banks and the procedures for introducing the balanced scorecard are mainly introduced;On this basis,the case of Bank D is introduced to introduce the current status of its performance evaluation,and at the same time,the problems of Bank D's performance evaluation are analyzed:At the sub-branch level,performance appraisal is the main focus,too much attention is paid to information at the financial level.Employee-level evaluation using the key performance indicators method is inconsistent with the bank's strategic planning.It pays too much attention to short-term benefits and is not conducive to the long-term and stable development of the bank.This article focuses on the application of the balanced scorecard performance evaluation method to construct the performance evaluation index system of Bank D,in response to the above problems,according to the D Bank's strategic development plan,four methods of literature analysis,case study,questionnaire,and analytic hierarchy were used to discuss and analyze from multiple dimensions to determine indicators and weights in different dimensions to avoid the phenomenon of unreasonable weight ratio.Finally,a set of balanced scorecard performance evaluation system suitable for Bank D was prepared to fully implement Bank D's strategic planning and development and comprehensively improve the bank's competitiveness.The balanced scorecard performance evaluation system is a dynamic evaluation system,which should be adjusted in accordance with changes in the market environment,and be improved in a timely manner when problems arise,so that the system conforms to the strategic goals of the bank.
