We realized that there is a potential to extract energy from the suspension's spring movement associated with the automobile travel. A study has been made to determine the possible overall amount of energy generated. The suspension system has been modeled using Simulink and Matlab to reveal its behavior over different road conditions, thus force generated could be graphically viewed and analyzed. Also, real time data of the spring displacement is measured in a car experiment and given as an input to the Simulink model to generate plots of associated force and total energy.
