As the most popular amusement equipment,large roller coasters can provide tourists with a fast-paced and dangerous experience and are an important representative of high-quality leisure and amusement projects.With the further improvement of our country economic development level and people’s living standards,the domestic market’s demand for first-class amusement equipment represented by large roller coasters will continue to increase.However,there is a big gap between the level of our country roller coaster designing and manufacturing and the international advanced level.At present,it only relies on cost advantages to occupy the domestic low-speed small roller coaster market,and the high value-added large roller coaster market is almost monopolized by foreign companies.Under the background of the pursuit of speed and acceleration in the design of large roller coasters,the track curve of the roller coaster will be more complex.How to solve the contradiction between the pursuit of thrills and comfort and safety is an urgent problem to be solved in the industry.This paper has entered into an in-depth study on the design of large-scale roller coasters,and the main content can be summarized as follows:(1).Generation of high smoothness spatial track curve of roller coaster.Based on the preliminary design to obtain the discrete points of the roller coaster track support pipeline space,the cubic and quintic spline interpolations are used to obtain the track space curve with sufficient smoothness.The curve eliminates sudden accelerations caused by curvature discontinuities.(2).Design of roller coaster track heel angle based on constrained particle dynamics.Based on the in-depth analysis of the running process of the roller coaster,a curve-constrained mass point dynamic model for the design of the roller coaster track is proposed.Taking the minimum acceleration at the heart point along the Y direction of the body as the starting point,the design method of the roller coaster track heel angle is proposed,and the design method of the roller coaster track is proposed in MATLAB.The software of the large roller coaster track heel angle design system was developed under the environment,and the rapid design of the complex track space curve was realized.(3).Dynamic simulation of large roller coaster system and verification of complex track design.In order to make the roller coaster train run stably on the complex and changeable space track,a multi-free roller coaster body structure is designed;the design of a large roller coaster track is completed by applying the developed large roller coaster track heel angle design software;In the mechanical system simulation software Adams,the dynamic model including the roller coaster track and the new body structure is established,and the method of dealing with the complex constraints of the system is discussed,and the track design scheme proposed in this paper is verified by simulation analysis.
