In order to develop a suitable distorted model of the guardrail crash test,according to the current available evaluation standard,the geometrically distorted scaled models analysis was implemented on length direction of the New Flexible Vehicle Constraints System and bridge parapet by establishing the system of “vehicle-barrier” FEA model with using the geometrically distorted scaled models method of structures under impact loads.Above all,Under the research the evaluation criteria of guardrail in China,this study established the crash safety performance collision conditions and evaluation of vehicle restraint system.Through the crash simulation test of the vehicle restraint systems,we find the effect between the flexible guardrail crash test length and the crash safety performance of the vehicle restraint systems.Secondly,the distorted model of the guardrail crash test were determined by the study of the geometrically distorted scaled models method.Finally,by using the geometric distorted model theory,with maximum acceleration and maximum offset of the bus for quantitative evaluation indexes,obtain a theory distorted model of the New Flexible Vehicle Constraints System and the bridge parapet.In this research,the following results were obtained:1.The change in length is significant influence to the New Flexible Vehicle Constraints System by comparing of length of 80 m and 200 m flexible vehicle restraint system simulation data.2.Guardrail crash test theoretical geometrically distorted scaled model.3.The geometrically distorted model of the New Flexible Vehicle Constraints System.4.The geometrically distorted model of the bridge parapet.In this research,the guardrail crash test theoretical geometrically distorted scaled model can be applied to the future design and maintenance of guardrail preservative.It also has some reference significance for reducing the cost of the crash test.
