Study On The Promotion Effect Of Port Logistics To The Regional Economy Of Xiamen And Taiwan

In the context of the ongoing implementation of economic integration,both Xiamen and Taiwan have obtained good development opportunities.Cross-strait relations are of the same origin.Trade and port logistics are important links to promote cross-strait political,economic and cultural exchanges.In order to give full play to Xiamen’s advantages as a bridge for cross-strait exchanges,Xiamen has promulgated a number of promotion policies in the field of port logistics,thus finding a link between trade and port logistics,and laying a certain foundation for the cooperation between Xiamen and Taiwan ports.Firstly,this paper describes the current situation of Xiamen-Taiwan trade and port logistics development,and analyses the advantages and disadvantages of Xiamen-Taiwan port logistics development.Secondly,the paper makes an empirical analysis on the role of port logistics in regional economic development.By adding the Cobb-Douglas(C-D)production function of the port,it establishes a relevant model and makes a regression analysis on the relationship between Xiamen-Taiwan port logistics industrial cluster and economic growth.Regression analysis was carried out.The analysis showed that the influence of labor and capital on the regional economy was declining for the CD production function after the Xiamen-Taiwan port factor.On the contrary,the influence of Xiamen-Taiwan port traffic reached 11.64%.We have decomposed the contribution rate of input factors to economic growth in Xiamen,and further illustrated that Xiamen port transport volume is an important factor affecting the growth of Xiamen’s GDP,but also promoted the rapid development of Xiamen and Taiwan port logistics.The gradual growth of regional economy also proves that the local government’s investment in Xiamen-Taiwan port transport volume has been effective.And put forward the strategy of regional economic promotion with ports.
