| Rural settlements are the core content of rural geography research and an important representation of the human-land relationship in rural areas.At present,the rapid reorganization of the elements of rural development in the process of urbanization in China has brought about great changes in the social and economic morphology of rural areas.With the upgrading of social economy and economy,the rural settlements landscape space pattern in our country have deeply divided and reconstructed.Rural settlements are the space carrier of villagers’ production and living,and it is of great significance to carry out the research on the evolution and optimization of settlements space,which is of great significance to build a coordinated development pattern of the systematic construction of population,land,industry and so on to promote the rural revitalization.On explaining the relevant concepts and theoretical basis,this paper takes Pingguo City,Guangxi as the case area,comprehensively using landscape ecology,GIS spatial analysis and quantitative evaluation of the combination of methods,to carry out the empirical research on the process of settlements landscape pattern evolution,and analyzes the impact factors affecting the evolution of rural settlements landscape pattern,and to explore the optimization scheme and mode of settlements space optimization.The results show that:(1)During 2009-2018,the rural settlements in Pingguo City showed an expansion trend in terms of number and total area,while the average area of rural settlements patches decreased,and the trend of miniaturization of new rural settlements was evident.The number of settlements,total area,average area of each township and the overall situation of the city are the same.However,there are large differences between townships,of which the size of the settlements in the northern region is smaller,the southern is more significant.From the distribution point of view,the density distribution of the village settlements of the city are characterized by the pattern of"north-south concentration,sparse in the middle”.Over time,the high-density"nuclear" cluster area around the town expands and polarizes.In addition,the overall landscape pattern of the city’s rural settlements changes by less,the spread of individual township settlements increased more,along the traffic line is a bandspreadtrend(2)The evolution of rural settlements landscape pattern in Pingguo City are mainly influenced by the two major factors of geographical environment and social economy.Due to the low construction cost and easy for farmers’ living and production activities,the development trend of rural settlements are towards low altitude,flat terrain,and closing to the water system;Geo-environments such as elevation,slope,and water system constitute the basic factors of the landscape spatial distribution and evolution of settlements.In addition,settlements are deeply influenced by social and economic factors such as location conditions,farmers’ living standard,industrialization and urbanization.The improvement of farmers’ living standard directly affects their ability to build houses,and drives the change of settlements scale and form.Industrialization and urbanization by promoting career change spree and job location change for rural agricultural population.Influence the mainstream of rural – the behavior of farmers in choosing their place of residence and then cause the expansion or decline of settlements landscape space.With the implementation of policies such as Town and Village System Planning and Easy-To-Poor Relocation,top-down policy system and government regulation are completely changing the landscape space pattern of traditional rural settlements.(3)Based on entropy method,the development potential of rural settlements is comprehensively evaluated in Pingguo City,and is divided into three types: high development potential,medium development potential and low development potential.Among them,the settlements area of high development potential accounts for 50.01% of the total area,and the area of low development potential are 20.08 % of the total area.On this basis,the central villages are selected,and the influence range of each central villages are divided based on the weighted Voronoi diagram,and then the direction of optimization adjustment of scattered settlements as well as the spatial constraint range are determined.Finally,three optimization modes are proposed,i.e.,the cluster development type,village to village type and the scale control type. |
