The representative symbol of modernity is the rise of big cities.Simmel’s aesthetic thought began in the late 19 th century,and his observation and theory extraction came from his experience and cognition of Berlin,a European metropolis in the 19 th century.With this idea as the carrier,he expressed his aesthetic interpretation of modern cities.Among the research achievements of Simmel’s Chinese,there are few achievements in the thematic interpretation of his theory from the perspective of urban aesthetics,so the study of his urban aesthetics thoughts is missing in the domestic academic perspective.Simmel’s research on urban aesthetics from the perspective of "modern visual interaction" and "spatial power" should be enlightening to the current urban construction in China,which is the main intention of this topic.In this paper,from the aesthetic view of visual culture,focusing on alignment beautiful city,to the experience of modernity and aesthetic interpretation of the theory is described,in order to grasp by him for the analysis of the modern urban visual culture aesthetic point,for our current of modern city rising like the morning sun hardware construction and cultural construction to bring theoretical enlightenment,It gives us the "vision" to rethink the urban phenomena we take for granted.It also provides a theoretical tool for expanding urban culture and improving spatial thinking power.Especially that by revealing the instant,short visual experience and reach to the whole city cultural significance to understand the ways of thinking,as social symbols and the epitome of city landscape as a unique modernity life experience represent the aesthetic theory of discourse,bound for the 21 st century urban cultural studies bring important reference significance.In the present living experience of modern people,urban life and its aesthetic significance have penetrated into all aspects.This new life with the advent of the industrial age has not only made people feel the endless charm with the constant renewal of vitality for more than a hundred years,but also brought infinite confusion and anxiety to modern people.Therefore,it will be helpful for us to improve our cognition to explore the humanistic power of the daily life and behavior habit of modern cities in the construction of the relationship between people and cities with the help of Simmel’s ideological perspective and aesthetic experience,and to recognize and reveal the mystery of modern urban space.In addition,the current academic research on the urban aesthetics of Simmel is far less than the research on his fashion consumption,money philosophy and life philosophy and other ideological topics.In the course of the study,I feel that the city,fashion,monetary philosophy and life philosophy are the basic dimensions of Simmel’s thought,and the lack of urban research will affect the grasp of the whole idea of Simmel.Therefore,this article intends to put forward some opinions in this respect.Simmel’s unique way of thinking and theoretical discourse leads to his understanding of modern cities with a theoretical landscape different from the cognitive perspective and thinking logic that we are accustomed to,and his theoretical expression is often presented by prose-style leaping thinking logic,especially his ingenious thinking and understanding of specific experience.Due to work more with episodic simmel theory is given priority to,and the introduction of time late at home,limited to my knowledge,the main research work on the alignment beautiful city aesthetic theory of key concepts,basic theory category and thought characteristics of inductive,connect aesthetic theory of basic urban context,simmel This paper mainly discusses Simmel’s urban aesthetics thoughts from three aspects: the characteristics of urban visual culture,spatial theory and visual aesthetic dimension.At the same time,I put forward some opinions on the status quo of modern urban research in China.
