Casualty accidents occur frequently in construction process,and unsafe behavior is one of the most important reasons for accidents.Individual workers are not isolated,but exist in the whole construction environment.Workers’ motivation and behavior will be affected by the environment.Because of human initiative,their behavior is complex and unstable.Therefore,the motivation conflict is introduced to study the unsafe behavior of workers,and the psychological process of producing unsafe behavior is intervened.Comb through to the domestic and foreign literature collection,summary,determine the four intrinsic psychological factors affecting workers motivation(efficacy,engaged,identity and cohesion)and three external regulation factors(motivation,safety input,safety behavior communication),combined with relevant theories about motivation conflict mechanism of unsafe behavior.In this paper,by designing and issuing questionnaires,SPSS 24.0 was used to conduct reliability and validity test and factor analysis on the recovered valid questionnaire data,and factor contribution rate was used to calculate the weight of internal driving factors and external moderating factors.Agent-based modeling and simulation(ABMS)model regards motivation conflict as the result of the interaction between workers’ internal motivation and external situation,and defines the basic structure,interaction rules and behavior rules of agents.By using simulation,this paper quantitatively evaluates the regulatory effect of managers’ safety input,communication and safety behavior incentive on workers’ motivation and unsafe behavior,and compares the changes in the number of behaviors when various external factors take different values,and draws the conclusion that:When the external environment is relatively good,the incentive to safe behavior should be increased,so that the workers with low intrinsic motivation will have motivation conflict,so as to change their behavior,so that the workers with high motivation level can strive for better and safer goals.In the case of bad external environment,safety investment should be increased,so that people with high safety motivation are not likely to have motivation conflict,maintain the original safety behavior,so that workers with low behavior motivation can regulate their own safety behavior under the role of supervision.This paper puts forward a new perspective to study the unsafe behavior of construction workers,and takes motivation as a mediating variable to deepen the understanding of the characteristics and rules of unsafe behavior caused by motivation conflict from the perspective of workers’ psychology.The proposed model construction method can be used as a tool for construction site safety management.Based on the conclusions of factor analysis and simulation research,a series of targeted management suggestions and countermeasures are put forward from multiple perspectives.At the same time,the analysis and simulation method is provided for subsequent construction,which can be used to observe and analyze workers’ behaviors in different construction projects,improve the management level and reduce the number of unsafe behaviors.
