Since the end of the 1980 s,hotels have quietly emerged in china,and the number of companies and teams that decorate and beautify their interiors has also begun to increase.After more than 30 years of rapid development,while market demand has gradually increased,people’s requirements for quality,perception,experience,and construction standards have also continued to increase.In order to meet the needs of market development,more and more researches on the methods,key points,problems and measures of the decoration of high-end hotels have been made.The decoration project of high-end hotels,especially the five-star hotel after professional rating by the industry,is a huge project.Hugeness does not only mean the size and area of the project,but more importantly,it has the characteristics of high investment cost,wide coverage,multiple professions,complex procedures,strong professionalism,large coordination workload,and tight construction period.At each stage of the construction period,the management method of the owner unit,work management process,plan preparation,plan confirmation time,capital supply guarantee,material and equipment supply,and coordination of construction units all these factors affect the management results.What method should be adopted to ensure the normal progress of the five-star hotel decoration project management,improve the quality of work,ensure the progress of the construction period,and also take care of costs and benefits.It is obviously a problem worthy of concern and exploration by project managers in the decoration industry,such as what method should be adopted to ensure the normal progress of the five-star hotel decoration project management,improve the quality of work,ensure the progress of the construction period,and take care of costs and benefits as well.Taking the five-star hotel decoration project of the company as an actual case,this paper firstly introduces the basic situation of the company and the five-star hotel project,and expounds the actual situation and existing problems of the decoration process management,then analyses the reasons of integration of theory and practice.As for the existing problems in the progress management of the decoration engineering of the project,the PERT network analysis method is used to calculate the reasonable construction period,and the Work Breakdown Structure-WBS is used to decompose the main work,draw up reasonable schedule plan,human resource plan,material and equipment plan.This safeguard measures are put forward to optimize the implementation of the plan,strengthen project management and land the optimization scheme.The study is from point of view of the author’s own construction unit and establish a sound project management system before the project.In order to provide security measures,we should multi-angly consider these factors,such as the personnel,cost,progress,process,technology,contract and so on.The purpose of this study is to provide some references for the progress management of the decoration project of high-grade star hotel and the project management of other investment construction projects of Q company.
