Research On The Construction Of Livable Built Environment For The Elderly In Differential Communities

China is aging rapidly.In the context of the continuous growth of the aging population,there are still some unlivable phenomena for the elderly in cities,such as the poor living environment of the elderly,the lack of diversified entertainment facilities,and the difficulties of the migrant elderly.Now,it is vital to provide a livable and age-friendly environment for the elderly.However,different community environments are differentiated,and the characteristics of the elderly are also differentiated.Therefore,the construction of a livable environment for the elderly in different communities requires differentiated consideration.Firstly,through literature review,it is found that the current research on livable environment planning for the elderly in China lacks the research on the differences of livable environment construction for the elderly in different communities,and the existing evaluation index system lacks the community level evaluation index system.Then,from two aspects of physical environment and social environment,the evaluation index system of community level livable environment for the elderly is constructed.In the island,five representative communities are selected for comparative study,which are urban village community,old community,early commercial housing community,new commercial housing community and pension community.Through the evaluation,it is found that there are similarities and differences in the composition of the elderly,natural and physical environment,artificial built environment,community service and security system.The common problem is that the facilities for the aged are generally insufficient,the elderly in other places are difficult to enjoy fair services,and the characteristics of the elderly are not considered in environmental construction.In terms of differences,the problem of urban village community is the lack of planning control and the difficulty of renovation.It is difficult to raise funds for the transformation of old communities,the elderly’s weak sense of community governance,the lack of neighborhood relationship in commercial housing community,and the supporting facilities for the elderly lag behind the land development.The residents in the pension community have a high entrance threshold,and a single community restricts the social interaction of the elderly.Through the comparative analysis of the characteristics,construction status and problems of the elderly in different communities,this paper attempts to put forward the overall and different countermeasures for the construction of livable environment for the elderly.On the whole,we need to build a diversified pension facilities system,realize the equalization of services for the elderly in other places,and build a dynamic renewal mechanism of livable environment for the elderly in the community.As for the differentiation Countermeasures of different communities,urban villages should renovate the existing community environment,fully tap the public functions of the characteristic space of the ancestral temples in urban villages,make use of villagers’ rental houses to supplement medical and nursing facilities,at the same time put in the micro bus system,build a safe pedestrian street system for the elderly,and encourage local and foreign elderly to communicate and interact;The old community should focus on revitalizing the determinant green space,make full use of the surrounding public resources,develop flexible entertainment facilities,renovate the aging facilities,and economically deal with the parking and elevator problems;Commercial housing community should emphasize resource sharing,stimulate the vitality of the street society,adopt the intensive layout mode,facilities should be prior to residential construction,and build a platform for the elderly to express their opinions;The elderly community should expand the scope of activities of the elderly,construct the street space for all age communication,promote the interaction between the elderly and other age groups,and add the house for family members to accompany them.Through two kinds of countermeasures,in order to provide the basis for the improvement of livability and aging of different community environment in the future.
