Study Of Modern Urban Public Space Under The Influence Of Habermas’s Public Sphere Theory

The research of public domain is an important part of public space research,which is the basis of social structure,scope of activities and operating mechanism of public life.In the research of social public domain,Habermas’ works are recognized as the most systematic and complete literature so far.It can be said that when it comes to public domain,it is almost impossible to bypass him.Habermas’ public domain has exerted a subtle influence on the theoretical research in the field of city and architecture since its birth.In recent years,with the influence of global economy and the development of society,new types of "utopian" public space with Habermas continue to emerge in urban space at home and abroad,which plays an important guiding role in the ontological design and research of contemporary public space.Starting from Habermas’ theory of public domain,this paper tries to explore the influence of Habermas’ theory on architectural theory and practice through a systematic and comprehensive review of Habermas’ theory of public domain.clear from Habermas "public domain" theory to architectural "public space" theory of the internal relationship,and through specific cases to reasonably look forward to the future development direction of public space.Therefore,the research of this paper is mainly carried out from the following aspects:1)interpretation and criticism of Habermas’ theory of "public domain"Taking Habermas’ s two works,the structural Transformation of the Public Domain and the Theory of communicative Action,as the core,this paper attempts to comprehensively interpret the theory of the public domain from three angles: the source of thought,the core theory and the development and evolution of the theory.to explore the premise of the exchange and influence of the theories of the two disciplines,and to clarify the core arguments concerned by the architecture discipline to this theory through the interpretation of a large number of classic works in public space.This is the basic research content of this paper.2)A probe into the influence mechanism of Habermas’ "public domain" theory on architecture theory.The core content of this article.The study will systematically sort out the mechanism and results of the influence of Habermas’ philosophical theory on architectural theory,and discuss it through the representative theory,and explore the mapping relationship between these two fields in the study of public space.to lay the foundation for the rational prospect of the development trend of today’s public space.3)Research on the practice of public space design under the influence of Habermas’ philosophical theory.On the basis of the above two research contents,the mapping relationship is verified by the new design examples of public space in recent years,and on this basis,the design strategies and technical means of "spatializing" Habermas’ public domain philosophy theory are summarized.
