Research On The Training Path Of Sports Translation Talents From The Perspective Of International Sports Competition Demand

With the gradual internationalization of Chinese sports,more and more international large-scale sports events are held.Language communication and translation have become an important part of international large-scale sports events.How to cultivate high-quality compound sports translation talents to meet the needs of international sports event translation has become the object of attention and consideration for the event organizers.In this paper,using literature data method,questionnaire method,expert interviews and other research methods,in Beijing,Shanghai,Nanjing,three cities in the interview by qualified translators in a random sample of 200 sports translation talents as investigation object,and the Beijing Sports University,Beijing Foreign Studies University,Shanghai Sports Institute,Chengdu Sports Institute,Wuhan Sports Institute,a total of 20 curriculum experts,the questionnaire survey from the academic professional sports translation talents.This paper investigates the basic situation of sports translation talents from the aspects of their educational background,professional,salary,working experience and languages,analyzes the demand and supply of current translation talents and the balance between the demand and supply,and then puts forward the training path suitable for the development of sports translation talents in China.The results prove that:1.Basic information of sports translation talents: most sports translators have bachelor’s degree or master’s degree,with a small proportion of those with doctor’s degree or above and a few with a junior college degree or below;professional sources are mostly related to sports translation,not the sports translation of the major,there are a small number of cross-professional;the salary of translators is generally in the range of 3000 to 8000,and the income is not ideal;3-5 years of translation experience,followed by 1-2 years;most of the foreign language proficiency is in CET6 and TEM4;English is the main language for translators,and there are fewer translators for smaller languages.2.The demand for sports translation talents in international sports events is large in quantity and high in quality;the translation problem of professional clubs is less and tends to be stable;sports tourism,sports diplomacy,sports trade and other sports translation needs are increasing.3.Analysis of sports translation market supply: the policy supply situation is good,the concrete translation talented person training policy implementation is few;capital supply is insufficient,complication is much;labor supply and demand exist discrepancy;lack oftechnical supply,translation level and quality is not ideal.4.There is an imbalance between the supply and demand of sports translation talents in China.In quantity,the demand is great,but the supply is insufficient;in terms of quality,there is a demand for comprehensive sports translation talents with a high degree and rich work experience in sports translation majors,and a supply of translators with a low degree and a lack of professional knowledge.5.The training path of sports translation talents includes the training path of colleges and institutions.The training path of colleges and universities mainly includes“2+2”、“3+2”undergraduate education;the training path includes short-term emergency training and short-term transition training.Based on the research on sports translation talents in China,this paper aims to provide theoretical support for the construction of a favorable development environment for sports translation market and enrich the theory of training paths for sports translation talents,which is of great significance for promoting the development of sports translation market in China.
