| Wang Chang served in Yunnan two times in his life.In 1768,he participated in the fourth Yunnan Burma war.In 1787,he served as the political envoy of Yunnan Province.As a epigraphist,Wang Chang was devoted to the collection and research of Yunnan inscriptions during his official career in Yunnan.In his book "the collection of gold and stone",there are ten stone inscriptions from Yunnan.This paper focuses on the gold and stone activities of Wang Changhuan in Yunnan period,including the gold and stone search,the gold and stone exchange and the research of gold and stone,and deeply analyzes Wang Chang’s research results on Yunnan gold and stone inscriptions,hoping to restore and improve Wang Chang’s position in the research history of Yunnan gold and stone inscriptions.There are four chapters in this paper.The first chapter is an introduction to Wang Chang.The focus of this chapter is to introduce Wang Chang’s academic achievements,including literary achievements and achievements in epigraphy.Through combing the later revision and supplement of epigraphy,Wang Chang’s achievements in epigraphy are highlighted.The second chapter is Wang Chang’s visit and friendship of Jinshi in Yunnan period.The first section introduces Wang Chang’s searching for gold and stone in the period of eunuch and Yunnan.For the first time,Wang Chang was busy with wars.The information about "visiting steles" can only be found in his poems.For the second time,Wang Chang collected rubbings of Steles such as "Wang Renqiu Tombstone" and "Nanzhao Dehua Tombstone",which were included in "Jinshi Cui Bian".The second section is Wang Changhuan’s stone and gold exchange in Yunnan period,which is divided into two parts: the epigraphists who study the inscriptions in Yunnan and the scholars who collect the inscriptions in Yunnan,including Qian Daxin,Wu Yi,Du Jun,etc.The third section is the academic significance of the gold and stone activities in the period of Wang Changhuan and Yunnan.Wang Chang will collect and study the rubbings of Yunnan inscriptions andpresent them to others.This practice directly improved the popularity of Yunnan inscriptions at that time and opened the atmosphere of Yunnan inscriptions.The third chapter is the academic value of the inscriptions collected by Wang Chang.Influenced by the concept of "proving classics and supplementing history" in epigraphy,Wang Chang’s research on Yunnan inscriptions mostly studies and supplements the historical events and geographical changes in the ancient books of Nanzhao and Dali.This chapter mainly shows Wang Chang’s research results on Yunnan inscriptions.The fourth chapter is the calligraphy art value of Yunnan steles collected by Wang Chang.Wang Chang’s collection of Yunnan inscriptions not only has academic value,but also its calligraphy art value can not be ignored,which is embodied in two aspects: the important reference value for the writing of Chinese calligraphy history and the indispensable calligraphy materials for the development of Yunnan Regional calligraphy.The last part is the conclusion of the paper.This part mainly summarizes Wang Chang’s positive role in promoting the research of Yunnan inscriptions.. |
