Abstract/Summary:
TV special program is one of the basic channels for the audience to deeply understand regional customs and folk customs, and it is also a salient component of today’s mass media. With the development of the society and economy, closer exchanges are kept between countries.China,a multi-ethnic country, also pays more attention to the publicity of minority cultures, especially publicity of local and indigenous minority cultures. In the process of publicity, the content of those programs should be interpreted and broadcast,so as to maximize the benefits of the programs and achieve the purpose of effective publicity of ethnic minority cultures.Eshan Yi Autonomous County in Yunnan Province is a multi-ethnic county mainly composed of Yi people.Comparing with the cultures of other ethnic groups of Yunnan province, the dress culture, food culture and festival culture of Yi people in Eshan county are relatively unique. The TV station of Eshan county often broadcasts reports on the culture of Yi people.A Bite of Eshan is just such a special program on Yi People’s customs. In the program, two Yi television presenters explore the local Yi food culture, festival culture and other cultures. Most of the clips involved are interviews with the local Yi people. This is a report about that the implementation of a simulated simultaneous interpretation,Which includes four episodes of A Bite of Eshan in the series of special programs of Eshan,Yunnan province. In the report, the interpreter gives a detailed description of the interpretation task, the interpreting process and the implementation of the interpretation task.Firstly, the interpreter analyzes the errors in the process of interpretation and adopts strategies to deal with them;then, the author elaborates the difficulties in the interpreting process and attempts to provide solutions.Secondly, the author focuses on skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule and selects cases to analyze how to transmit the local ethnic minority culture to the target audience in a more appropriate way under the guidance of Skopos Theory. Finally, the author summarizes the basic conditions for interpreters to interpret ethnic minority cultures and puts forward some suggestions and hopes to provide some reference for interpretation learners. The report chooses Skopos Theory as the theoretical support.Skopos Theory was put forward by Kathrina Reiss in the late 1970 s and early 1980 s.It was promoted in 1984 by Katharina Reiss and,Hans J Vermeer in their book Towards a General Theory of Translational Action and further developed and improved by Jasta Hertz Mantali and Christian Nord. The theory holds that all translation activities should firstly consider the purpose of translation, then choose the corresponding translation strategy. At the same time,Skopos Theory mainly follows three principles: skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule. The report is divided into five parts: the first part is the description of interpretation task;the second part is the interpreting process;the third part is the theoretical framework and the corresponding theoretical application examples;the fourth part is the analysis of interpretation examples, and the fifth part is the summary. The report focuses on these five parts and analyzes them on the basis of Skopos Theory.
