A Study On "Xiufu" Of Women In Tunpu,Central Guizhou

This paper takes the women’s “xiufu” as the research object.The purpose is to pay attention to the phenomenon of “Renaissance” of folk culture in rural areas after the reform and opening up,with the expansion of related activity space of rural people.The focus of the research is different from “mainstream narrative” and male research,and focuses on another folk group: women.This paper probes into their collective folk belief activities,such as “xiufu”,women’s folk belief life and ritual life,as well as their narrative ways and internal cultural and social organization operation mechanism when they express their experience.In order to have a macro grasp and micro research on the custom of “xiufu” of women in the special group of tunpu in central guizhou,and to explore how ordinary rural women construct their own identity and improve their social status with their own subjective initiative through a series of folk activities of “xiufu”.This paper is divided into five chapters.The introduction part introduces the significance of the topic selection,the review of related studies,the attention to the boundary and the logical approach and the source of data,and the conclusion explores the significance of this study to the study of female folklore.The first chapter introduces the general situation of the historical geography and the local folk belief system of tunpu in central guizhou,summarizes the typicality and particularity of this area from the vertical and horizontal aspects of history and space,so as to reveal the cultural and ecological background of women’s cultivation in central guizhou.The second chapter studies the folk custom item “xiufu”,from the historical Angle vertical exploration in the middle of qian tunpu women “xiufu” and the jiangnan area women worship Buddha and god connection,answer “xiufu” is whatquestion.The third chapter explores the stages and contents of “xiufu”,systematically and in detail describes the symbolic significance and functions of each stage,and how women play their subjective initiative in the practice of “xiufu”,from which the folk belief practice reflects the folk belief system and practice of the tunpu people in the central guizhou region.The fourth chapter focuses on the female folk belief group dominated by futou and explores the operation mechanism of the group.In this process,through the folk practice of women,women’s identity and power construction,as well as the survival of rural women’s wisdom.The fifth chapter explores the function and significance of “xiufu” to women’s individuals,groups and even the whole society.Specifically,reveal in guizhou tunpu women to “xiufu” as the carrier,to implement the “industry” in the edge of society and the spirit of “cure”,at the same time,“xiufu” as a unity in guizhou tunpu women folk belief,enhance the cohesion between women,and on the basis of the women and formed a family,community,social communication and integration.
