| At the beginning of the New Year of 2020,the epideomic of COVID-19 broke out rapidly.In order to protect people’s safety and ensure school teaching progress,the Ministry of Education launched the guidance of "don’t stop teaching,don’t stop studying" during the prevention and control period,it makes "online teaching" coming into the vision of Chinese people.In this context,the paper selects Shandong Normal University as a case study to explore the situation of online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in Shandong Normal University under the background of the COVID-19.This paper consists of five parts,including the introduction,the general situation of the School of International Education of Shandong Normal University,the investigation and analysis of online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in Shandong Normal University,the shortcomings of online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in Shandong Normal University,the relevant suggestions and the conclusion.The introduction introduces the research background,research significance,research methods and innovations of the article,summarizes the concept and types of "online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language",and sorts out the current research situation from six aspects of"existing problems,development direction,macroscopic study,microscopic study,other research and research summary".The second part introduces the general situation of the college of International Education of Shandong Normal University.The author takes advantage of the convenient conditions of internship in the School of International Education of Shandong Normal University,and with the help of questionnaires and teacher interview,introduces the situation of the teachers,students,courses and textbooks of the language class for international students of Shandong Normal University under the background of the COVID-19,summarizes the difficulties encountered in the preparation stage of online teaching under the background of the COVID-19,and makes a preliminary description of the general situation of online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in Shandong Normal University.The third part investigates and analyzes the online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in Shandong Normal University.With the support of questionnaires,teacher interview materials,classroom observation materials and personal practice experience,the author made a specific investigation and analysis on seven aspects of online teaching,including teaching platform,teaching mode,classroom management,teaching interaction,language testing,comparison with traditional teaching,and teachers’ thinking".In this process,the author found the advantages worth learning from and some existing shortcomings of online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in Shandong Normal University.The fourth part points out six specific shortcomings of online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in Shandong Normal University,such as "the selection of online teaching platforms is centralized but not unified,the supervision of online teaching is not in place,the supervision of online testing is not in place,some teachers’ teaching ideas are not changed,the distance between teachers and students is too large,and the opportunity for international students to learn Chinese is not provided as much as possible".Suggestions are also put forward,such as using platforms such as "DingDing" for online teaching,formulating corresponding classroom management measures fit for the epidemic,turning on camera for final tests,conducting a series of online training for teachers,organizing different types of online communication activities,and setting up "cooperative learning groups for Chinese and foreign students".The conclusion part summarizes the research situation of the whole article,points out two shortcomings of the research,"the questionnaire survey scope is not comprehensive enough,the suggestion is lack of practical verification",and looks forward to the future research direction.This paper conducted a case study on Shandong Normal University,systematically presented the overall appearance of Shandong Normal University’s online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language under the background of the epidemic,the advantages worth learning from,the existing shortcomings and targeted suggestions,and provided solutions and countermeasures for the common problems faced by online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language under the background of the COVID-19. |
