Investigation And Research On Online Chinese Talent Courses For International Students ——Take Xinjiang X University As An Example

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020,countries around the world have adopted strict entry-exit control and quarantine policies,which have greatly affected the flow of international students.Under this background,the teaching work of domestic universities for overseas students has changed from traditional offline teaching to online teaching.This paper investigates the online Chinese talent course for international students in the School of International Cultural Exchange of Xinjiang X University.At present,the research on Chinese talent courses mainly focuses on domestic universities,overseas Confucius Institutes and offline Chinese talent courses with Chinese students in China as the research object,but few people pay attention to online Chinese talent courses for foreign students.This study starts with the teaching situation and learning situation of overseas students in the online Chinese talent course.The research results show that the online Chinese talent course carried out by the School of International Cultural Exchange of Xinjiang X University has many kinds of online courses and sufficient class hours.From the aspect of teaching,teachers have long teaching experience;In terms of students’ learning,international students have a strong desire to learn and practice with teachers in class at the same time.The shortcomings are as follows: from the aspect of course offering,the college does not allow international students to choose their own talent courses,and a few international students have difficulties in preparing their learning tools.From the perspective of teacher teaching,teachers’ teaching equipment is not perfect,"student-centered" task-based teaching method has not been fully applied;From the aspect of students’ learning,in some of the talent courses,foreign students are affected by learning tools and environment to achieve the learning effect is not ideal.Finally,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the evaluation and selection of online courses.From the aspect of teacher teaching,suggestions are put forward to improve teaching equipment,optimize teaching methods and enrich assessment methods.From the aspect of students’ learning,it puts forward feasible suggestions on correct learning attitude and strengthening after-class practice.This paper provides reference for the successful development of Online Chinese talent courses for overseas students in other universities in China,and hopes that Chinese talent courses can play a positive role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
