A Research On Vocabulary Of Songzi Dialect In Hubei Province

The thesis take Songzi dialect vocabularies as the research object.Through field research,various vocabularies of Songzi dialect are collected and sorted out as comprehensively as possible,and the characteristics of Songzi dialect vocabulary are revealed in comparison with Mandarin vocabulary.In Songzi dialect,folklore words and place name words that reflect local cultural features are specially sorted out and analyzed.This paper is divided into five chapters:Chapter one is the introduction,starting the basic situation of Songzi from the three aspects of geographical location,historical evolution,as well as population and ethnicity.It summarizes and explains the internal divisions,attribution,phonetic system and research status of Songzi dialect,briefly introduces the development process of Songzi dialect research,and lists documents for explanation.Finally,The last part explains this paper’s objects,theories,methods,sources.Chapter two is the word list of the Categorized Vocabulary of Songzi dialect.According to the layout style of the "Chinese Dialect Vocabularies Survey Item List" of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,the commonly used words in Songzi dialect are recorded and classified into 29 categories,which lays a corpus foundation for systematic research.Chapter three is the comparisons of the difference of Songzi dialect and mandarin.On the basis of the classified vocabulary,the Songzi dialect vocabulary and the Mandarin vocabulary are compared as a whole,which then summarizes the differences between the two in terms of syllable,word formation and word meaning.The fourth chapter discusses folklore nouns and place names in Songzi dialect.This chapter introduces typical folklore words in Songzi area,including folklore words for birthdays,weddings and funerals,and dig out the folklore cultural connotation of These words,presenting the close connection between Songzi dialect Vocabularies and folklore culture.The relationship between Songzi place names and regional culture is also dicussed.This chapter finally sorts out the types and linguistic characteristics of local proper names and generic names,and explores deeper into the cultural connotations of Songzi place names and the origin of those geographic names.The fifth chapter concludes the basic viewpoints of the whole text,and put forwards questions that need to be studied in depth.
