| In the new historical period,the national economic and social development has gradually shifted from “resource-driven” to “innovation-driven”,and the improvement of people’s aesthetic quality has become an important driving force for the country’s innovation level.As the highest institution for talent training in the country and society,universities are responsible for cultivating innovative talents in the new era.In 2019,General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly pointed out at the National Education Conference that we must persist in educating people with beauty and culture,and improve students’ aesthetic and humanistic qualities.In October 2020,the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Aesthetic Education in the New Era",proposing to include aesthetic education in the whole process of talent training at all levels and types of schools,running through all stages of school education.It is necessary to set up with the cultivation of aesthetics and humanistic literacy as the core,to focus on the cultivation of innovative ability,and to develop the inheritance of Chinese excellent traditional culture and art classics education at the higher education stage Popular art courses,and Cultivate temperament,and then enhance the realm of lifeAt present,although universal art education has been fully affirmed in terms of policies,from the reality,the universal art education in universities has not yet received the attention it deserves and has not been effectively implemented.It is faces many problems such as lagging ideas,lack of teacher resources,lack of systemicity and attractiveness of curriculum content,and uneven development of art clubs.First of all,this research systematically and comprehensively sorts out the related research on aesthetic education and popular art education at home and abroad,and analyze the theoretical basis of popular art education.It lays a foundation for further exploring the value meaning of universal art education implemented by universities from the perspective of aesthetic education.S University is a general comprehensive university located in a sub-central city with a focus on science and engineering.This research takes S University as the research object,and investigates the implementation status of S University’s popular art education from three aspects: popular art courses,campus art atmosphere construction and art clubs through questionnaires,classroom observations,and in-depth interviews.It is found that S University has three outstanding achievements in the implementation of popular art education: the popular art courses offered by the Humanities Literacy Center are highly innovative and characteristic,the types of popular art courses have realized diversity,and the campus cultural activities present the characteristics of richness.However,at the same time,the implementation of universal art education in universities still faces some practical problems:teachers and students have deviations in the understanding of universal art education,the implementation of universal art courses is relatively simple,the evaluation system is not sound,and the development of art clubs is unbalanced,etc.problem.On the basis of investigation and research,select two universities with outstanding achievements in popular art education practice,Southeast University,which focuses on "Aesthetics and Art Appreciation Courses",and Tsinghua University,which integrates popular art courses with art clubs,and uses art clubs as the main carrier.Through the case study of universal art education in two comprehensive universities,we will deeply interpret the implementation system of universal art education in these two universities.On the basis of theoretical research and empirical research,combined with the four steps of Taylor’s curriculum development,Gardner’s comprehensive curriculum construction supported by the theory of multiple intelligences,and the results of Southeast University and Tsinghua University’s popular art education practice exploration.And then the implementation of universal art education in universities puts forward four suggestions:First,to promote the renewal of the concept of universal art education,so that more students can fully understand the significance of the implementation of universal art education in universities in the new era and new stage;Second,to innovate the curriculum of popular art education,we must first determine the core position of popular art courses,incorporate it into the compulsory ranks of university education and teaching,optimize the establishment of popular art courses,and create popular art courses and practical courses and design a scientific evaluation system;third,we must improve the organizational form of art clubs and pay attention to the balanced development of art clubs;fourth,it is necessary to improve the management mechanism of universal art education and construct a reasonable team of teachers and specialized management institutions. |
