| Since the basic education reform in China first proposed the concept of “Core Competencies and Values” in 2014,it has requested that school education should train students to have the ability to adapt to life-long development as well as social development.As a creative teaching mode,the student-centered Guided Learning Plan Mode changes the traditional classes.It not only changes the learning ways of students’ self-inquiry,but improves their enthusiasm and initiative in learning,which is good for cultivating the core competencies and values of students.In 2016,driven by the teaching reform of “Smart Class”,the school where the author works in,broke the old teacher-oriented teaching mode and took the “Guided Learning Plan” as the carrier,trying to construct a new teaching mode with the direction of cultivating students’ autonomous learning ability.Guided Learning Plan is a kind of study plan used to guide students during the learning process,which reflects the dominant position of students and the leading role of teachers.In the process of using the guided learning plan,students can solve problems through independent thinking and cooperative learning.This is not only consistent with the content of the National English Curriculum Standards,but also improves students’ problem-solving ability and autonomous learning ability.This thesis is guided by Constructive Learning Theory,Humanistic Learning Theory,Zone of Proximal Development Theory and previous research results,relying on the guided learning plan designed by the English Department in our school.It aims to study the feasibility and effectiveness of the Guided Learning Plan Mode in English autonomous learning in junior high school,by using some research methods such as handing out the questionnaires,interviewing the front-line teachers and analyzing the results of classroom observation,etc.After two terms of teaching experiment,it can draw the conclusions that junior high school students can improve their autonomous learning ability and form the habit of autonomous learning with the help of Guided Learning Plan Mode.At the same time,this teaching mode can also develop teachers’ research on teaching and learning strategies for cultivating junior high school students’ autonomous learning ability,which further improves the teaching ability and research ability.If the guided learning plan is not designed properly or the teacher cannot use it in a proper way,students’ autonomous learning ability will be influenced.The author also puts forward several suggestions.Teachers should update and adapt the guided learning plan from time to time,and constantly innovate the content.The teachers cannot pay too much attention on the learning plan while neglect the teaching material.Instead,they should combine the guided learning plan and the teaching material effectively. |
