A Practice Report Of Mock Simultaneous Interpretation With Text On Cross-cultural Communication Research And International Exchange In The 21st Century

As a type of simultaneous interpretation,the main feature of the simultaneous interpretation with text is that the interpreter can use the original draft,interpreted script,and other materials in the process of interpreting.SI with text is widely used in interpretation activities,in which the interpreter can refer to the manuscript,so the interpreter’s energy distribution pressure in the hearing and output has been reduced,and the reading energy required will increase.Thus,correct and reasonable distribution of energy is the key to ensuring the quality of interpretation.This thesis is a practice report which took the lecture "Cross-Cultural Communication Research and International Exchange in the 21 st Century" as an example,combined with Daniel Gile’s Effort Model,analyzed the characteristics of the lecture and energy distribution problems,such as the variety of terms,speaker’s frequent deviation from the text,speaker’s unstable speed,long speech and proposed the corresponding solutions.The thesis put forward the methods and strategies of pre-interpretation preparation,simplification,PPT support,application of syntactic linearity,which aim to reduce the energy load of each link and ensure that the total energy required is less than the total energy of the interpreter,to improve the work effect of the interpreter in the lecture.
