In recent years,with the promotion of the “Belt and Road” Initiative,there has emerged a “Mandarin fever” in Central Asian countries.More and more students began to learn Chinese in Uzbekistan,but the effectiveness of Chinese teaching still needs to be improved.Therefore,according to the characteristics of learning styles of Uzbekistan students,Chinese teachers need to choose a teaching method that can not only enhance the enthusiasm of the students,but also maximize their motivation in learning Chinese.In the 1980 s,task-based teaching methods gradually emerged.This teaching method advocated the “teacher-led and student-centered” teaching concept and that students acquire language by completing “tasks”.It has captured widespread attention and has had a great impact on the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This thesis is based on the teaching experiences of the author as a Chinese language teaching volunteer in Uzbekistan.Within the framework of the task-based teaching theory,a comprehensive Chinese language lesson targeted at the intermediate level was designed to explore the application effect of task-based classroom teaching of TCFL(Teaching Chinese as a foreign language)and to enrich the teaching researches of comprehensive Chinese courses at different stages in non-target language environment.The teaching design was aimed at the students of the intermediate Chinese class of the Tashkent Chinese Cultural Center in Uzbekistan.The second volume of the Chinese Course(2)(the first edition of the Russian version)edited by Yang Jizhou was selected as the teaching material.Taking the text The Lucky Numbers as an example,a specific teaching practice based on task-based Language teaching was performed in the classroom.The teaching reflection was carried out drawing on the feedback from the other teachers who observed the class and students evaluation from this class.The teaching practice showed that task-based teaching design for the intermediate Chinese comprehensive course is in line with the learning style of local students and the goals of language teaching.It has changed the role of teachers and students in traditional classrooms to a certain extent and attached more importance to the students' autonomy.Task-based teaching design helps teachers create a real language environment with authentic language materials close to students' life,thus effectively activating the classroom atmosphere,and enhancing students' learning interest and self-confidence.It is hoped that this teaching design can be a useful reference for the teaching design practice of Chinese international education,and promote the further research on and the spread of task-based teaching in the intermediate Chinese comprehensive courses.
