With the deepening of globalization,countries have more frequent exchanges and closer relations.In the process of development,China has also actively established friendly relations with other countries.More and more foreign public relations and public diplomacy activities have become a force that cannot be ignored in the world development pattern.At the same time,in the process of cooperation and exchange with foreign countries,because the United States is currently at the core of the international power circle,occupying a dominant position and is the only superpower on the international stage,it has a strong influence in the world politics and economy,so it is particularly important to carry out international public relations and public diplomacy with the United States.Sino US relations not only have a great impact on China and the United States,but also the development and change of Sino US relations will have a profound impact on the world order.It is in the common interests of both sides to actively carry out public relations and public diplomacy with the United States,and it will help the American people to understand the real China,and then help the United States to formulate a positive China policy,to safeguard the interests of the country,enterprises and organizations.In this paper,taking the Foreign Agent Registration Act as the starting point,first of all,from a macro perspective,summarizes and summarizes the registration situation of China in the foreign agent registration act since the founding of new China.It is found that first,commercial organizations are the most important customers of international public relations and public diplomacy to the United States,followed by the government.Second,strategic consulting and consulting are the main types of activities,followed by meetings and contacts with U.S.government officials.Thirdly,the main motivation of these activities is the political purpose of establishing positive relations with the United States and the economic purpose of trade promotion.In addition,the paper also focuses on the specific practice of public relations and public diplomacy at the micro level.Considering that commercial organizations are the main subjects in the relevant activities,the paper selects Huawei as the case study object to analyze its public relations and diplomatic activities.Finally,based on China’s specific registration in the Foreign Agent Registration Act,this paper analyzes the limitations of China’s current public relations and public diplomacy activities in the United States,mainly in two aspects.First,public relations and diplomatic activities focus on the upper level of the United States,ignoring the views of other levels.Second,it pays attention to short-term strategy and lacks long-term overall strategy.In view of the above problems,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for further strengthening China’s international public relations and public diplomacy with the United States.The article holds that in the future,China needs to strengthen and coordinate multi department cooperation in public relations and diplomacy with the United States,and build a multi-agent participation mechanism.We will give full play to the positive role of the central government,local governments and social organizations,and encourage all sectors of society to jointly promote the development of China US relations.At the same time,China should actively expand its contacts and carry out targeted activities.We need to enhance exchanges and communication with US interest groups,academia and think tanks to influence the US government’s attitude and policy towards China.Finally,we need to broaden the form and content of public relations and public diplomacy,and pay attention to the role of the media.China should actively carry out cultural communication to the United States,let the American people understand the face of modern China,and give full play to the role of social media as a new channel for public relations and public diplomacy activities to the United States.
