The rapid development of the Internet has brought huge changes to the way people consume,especially in recent years,the rapid emergence of Tmall,Flying Pig,JD.com,Suning.com,Qunar.com,and Meituan.com,etc.Consumption has brought about huge changes.Because the online consumption process is simple and the product optimization configuration is more reasonable,more and more consumers are keen to shop online,and online shopping has naturally become an indispensable part of people’s daily life.With online shopping consumption The continuous increase in consumer demand has brought a series of infringement issues that have become increasingly prominent,especially the most prominent violation of online shopping consumers’ right to know.Consumers’ right to know generally means that consumers have the right to know the true situation of the goods or services they have purchased.By analyzing the relevant content of the right to know in China’s Consumer Protection Law,it is roughly obtained that consumers’ right to know mainly has two meanings.First,consumers have the right to ask the operator to indicate the true condition of the product when purchasing the product;Second,consumers have the right to know the true information related to the product.At the same time,China’s new "E-commerce Law" has also made relevant regulations,such as stipulating that e-commerce operators should perform the disclosure of information on goods or services in accordance with the law to protect the online shopping consumers’ right to know.However,due to the virtual nature of online transactions and the opacity of consumption,many bad network operators still make false publicity on online sales platforms in order to maximize profits,exaggerate the performance of products,conceal important information,and fail to perform notification obligations in accordance with the law.The wanton infringement of online shopping consumers’right to know has caused serious infringement on the legitimate rights and interests of online shopping consumers.The existing "e-commerce law" provisions are relatively macroscopic,such as the lack of specific regulations on online false advertising regulations and sound merchant integrity systems.This article introduces the main problems faced in the protection of the right to know of online shopping consumers and analyzes them.At the same time,based on foreign legislative experience,it proposes suggestions for improving China’s current e-commerce law and strengthens the right of online shopping consumers to know This will help optimize the online shopping market environment,promote fairness and fairness in the online shopping transaction market,and help the long-term development of the online shopping transaction market,thereby better realizing the leap of the Internet economy.
