A Practical Study On Social Work Helping The Social Participation Of Rural Disabled

China now has about 83 million disabled people,62 million of whom live in rural areas.The rural disabled population accounts for 3/4 of the country’s disabled population,and improving their social participation is an important part of China disabled person’s construction.For disabled people living in rural areas,they face the political,economic,employment,education and cultural environment of exclusion,promoting their social participation is an important task of social development.Improving the current survival status of rural disabled people in a vulnerable position,helping disabled people to share the achievements of social civilization,can effectively promote the fair and just development of society.The rural society in our country is an acquaintance society.Compared with the stranger society in the city,the connection between people is closer.For rural disabled people,the social support in their environment is stronger,and the exclusion between social relations may be weaker.In terms of social work practices,workers should not only focus on capacity building for disabled people,but also mobilize the non-supporting power of disabled people,consolidate the social support network for rural disabled people,and strengthen community services for disabled people to provide assistance to promote the social participation of disabled people.Social workers need to do a good job of preliminary research when they are involved in social participation services for disabled people in rural areas.Taking the project of helping disabled people in Mi Yun district of Beijing as an example,the research methods of observation,interview and questionnaire were used to deeply investigate the situation of disabled people in G town community.Through the analysis of the survey data,we can understand the current living conditions of rural disabled people,intervene in social work services according to the needs of disabled people.The project implemented is guided by the theory of Empowerment and mainly uses community work methods to provide services for rural disabled people.In the way of intervention,we should not only provide personalized services according to the differences between urban and rural environments,but also to provide targeted services based on the specific conditions of rural disabled people.Through the evaluation of the projects carried out,effective Suggestions are put forward on how to strengthen the rural community service system for the disabled.Based on practical experience,it advocates the establishment and improvement of government policies on public service system,continuously promotes the professional development ofsocial work services for the disabled,and strengthens the social support network for the disabled with the help of rural mutual assistance.To link social resources and social support for rural disabled people,enrich the specific content of community services for disabled people,improve the ability of social organizations and the quality of professional social workers,and strengthen the community participation of disabled people.
