Study On The Participation Of Migrants In Volunteer Service In Social Work Organizations In Shenzhen From The Perspective Of Social Integration

As a typical migrant city,Shenzhen has a large number of migrants who have not only made great contributions to the development of Shenzhen,but also brought challenges to the management of Shenzhen.The serious upside-down of the local and migrant populations and the difficulty of integration of migrants have greatly affected the urbanization process and quality of Shenzhen.This thesis takes migrant volunteers from social work organizations in Z community H in Shenzhen as the research group,using questionnaire survey and interview methods to explore the relationship between voluntary service and social integration.In addition,from the perspective of social work organization management,this thesis discusses how to improve the management and service of migrant volunteers,so as to explain how to promote the social integration of migrant population from the development of voluntary services.Based on the questionnaire survey data and interview data,the study found that the voluntary service provides migrant residents in Shenzhen a way for its social integration,and the voluntary service promotes their integration at the policy level at the most.In addition,the situation of voluntary service and social integration interacts and influences each other.Based on the above findings,to overcome barriers for the migrant population’s social integration and to improve the current situation of institutional voluntary services,feasibility suggestions are proposed from the government,society,and the institutions levels.The suggestions can help to promote Shenzhen’s migrant population to better integrate into the communities,and contribute to the creation of a good harmonious society.
