| In urban community governance,community residents,as the most basic component of the community,have an important impact on community construction and community governance.Whether community residents can effectively participate in community governance is the top priority to achieve grassroots community governance.At present,although urban community governance in China has achieved some results,there are still some problems such as weak residents ’ participation consciousness and insufficient participation ability.Participation in community governance through professional theories and methods of social work is conducive to improving residents’ ability to participate in community governance and promoting the harmonious development of the community.In 2018,J community cooperated with a social work service center in the form of community social work projects to carry out multiple service projects for the low participation of community residents.This paper attempts to use empowerment theory as the theoretical support,the integrated use of participatory observation and semistructured interviews,based on J community social work institutions to carry out service projects,the path and strategy of residents to participate in the analysis.This paper mainly focuses on the analysis of a series of projects carried out by Agency Y in the process of project service aimed at the phenomenon of residents’ participation in J community losing their rights.On the research content,this paper examines the reasons for the loss of residents ’ participation in J community,analyzes the practice of residents ’ participation in J community from the perspective of empowerment,and discusses how social workers achieve individual empowerment,organizational empowerment and institutional empowerment in project services.Finally,the following conclusions: First,broaden the channels of participation and expression is the key to individual empowerment: Second,cultivating residents’ leaders to enhance their self-organizing ability is the core of organizational empowerment;Third,institutional empowerment is the basis and guarantee to enhance residents ’participation. |
