Research On The Influence Of Pension Model On The Subjective Well-being Of The Elderly

As Chinese aging population continues to deepen and the number of elderly groups increases,the public pays more and more attention to the physical health and subjective well-being of the elderly groups.Subjective Well-Being(SWB)is an important indicator to measure individual life state scientifically.Under the current population background,the choice of pension mode has not only become an important way to deal with aging,but also has a bearing on the quality of life and subjective well-being of the elderly.This paper aims to understand the elderly’s pension mode and SWB,explore the influence of pension mode on the elderly’s health status and SWB,and provide reference and reference value for the effective development of China’s pension undertakings and the improvement of the elderly’s living standard.This paper explores the influence of pension mode and subjective well-being in the elderly,and analyzes whether health status plays a mediating role in the relationship between the two.The analysis was carried out based on the 2018 China Health and Aging Tracking Survey CHARLS data.First of all,based on a lot of domestic and foreign studies,the research direction of this paper is clear.Residential type,economic situation,daily care and spiritual comfort are determined as four important dimensions to directly measure the pension model,and general well-being and emotional well-being are taken as dimension indicators to measure subjective well-being.According to the contents of the questionnaire structure and the research focus,the control variables were selected from the perspectives of family factors,social factors and personal factors to construct the overall index system of this paper.Secondly,using ordered Logit regression model and multiple linear regression model as the main tools of empirical analysis,in-depth analysis of the impact of different types of pension models on the subjective well-being of elderly groups.Then the elderly group is divided into the rural elderly and the urban elderly according to their household registration,and the difference in the impact of their pension mode on SWB is analyzed.The reality of the pension mode of the elderly group in rural and urban areas and the different influencing factors on SWB are explored in depth.Finally,using health status as a mediating variable,a structural equation model was constructed to test the mediating effect,to analyze whether health status would play a mediating role in the relationship between pension mode and SWB,and to explore how health status affects the relationship between pension mode and SWB.Through the empirical analysis results,we can see that in each dimension of family pension,living with children helps to improve the subjective well-being of the elderly,and the improvement of happiness caused by living with children is significant in rural areas.The long-term care of family members improved the general well-being and emotional well-being of the elderly,and the effect of family care on emotional well-being of the elderly in rural areas was higher than that in urban areas.Among the dimensions of self-care,owning personal assets can help the elderly to improve their own emotional well-being.The elderly who can independently complete daily activities and have social activities tend to have a higher level of subjective well-being,which is mainly reflected in the emotional well-being dimension,and this effect is more significant in rural areas.In the dimensions of social pension,the subjective well-being of the elderly living in nursing homes increased significantly,while the subjective well-being of the elderly with pension insurance decreased.The pension insurance did not give full play to its role of old-age security.The subjective well-being of the elderly with recreational activities increased significantly than that of the elderly without recreational activities.The improvement of health status promotes the improvement of the subjective well-being of the elderly,and plays an important mediating role in the relationship between family pension residence type and daily care,self-care daily care and spiritual comfort,social pension economic situation and the subjective well-being of the elderly.Based on the empirical analysis results and endowment pattern dimension,from residential type,economic situation,daily care and spiritual comfort and health live five aspects put forward propulsion types diversified economic development and improve the social endowment security system,perfect day care services building,rich spiritual life in the elderly,and enhance the level of the elderly health advice,Help to improve the subjective well-being of older people.
