Non-profit Organizations Engaged In The Cause Of Disabled Orphans’ Hospice Care In Nanjing From The Perspective Of Welfare Pluralism

Hospice care for disabled orphans is an important part of the welfare system for disabled orphans,but based on the current situation of our country,hospice care for disabled orphans is still a new thing,and it is a long way to go for the government to provide leading services.Welfare pluralism theory puts forward that the main body of social welfare supply includes the government,non-profit organizations,families,etc.When other providers fail,non-profit organizations can play a good role with their unique advantages and characteristics,which provides a theoretical basis for non-profit organizations to engage in the cause of hospice care for disabled orphans.Nanjing nonprofit organizations pay attention to the quality of life of disabled orphans,and provide hospice care services for disabled orphans,which has achieved good results.However,due to the external environment and their own ability,there are also some non-profit organizations,such as lack of professionals,lack of financial security,great pressure to raise funds,imperfect internal management system,less number of non-profit organizations engaged in hospice care for disabled orphans,few financial investment of the government,lack of supervision and management mechanism and public opinion atmosphere.In view of these problems,this paper puts forward some suggestions to promote non-profit organizations to engage in the development of hospice care for disabled orphans.On the one hand,it is necessary to give full play to the government’s guiding role in participating in hospice care for disabled orphans,to establish a correct attitude towards disabled orphans,to popularize death education;to improve laws,regulations and relevant policies;to increase financial support;to improve the supervision and management mechanism,etc.On the other hand,non-profit organizations should also strengthen their own capacity-building,including the construction of professional talent team,internal management system,broaden the channels of fund-raising,and increase the propaganda of hospice care for disabled orphans.
