| The most two important issues for the development of our current agricultural economy are the aging of the rural population and the insufficient development of agricultural informatization.According to the sampling data of the "2020 China Population and Employment Statistics Yearbook",at the end of 2019,our country’s aging rate was 12.57%;the aging rate in rural areas was 14.69%,which was higher than the national average aging rate of 2.12%.The aging population of our country is really large and keeps growing at a fast rate. And the aging degree and speed of the rural population are higher than the urban population. For a long time, the Central Committee has paid a lot of attention to the development of agricultural informatization and implemented a series of policies that are aimed at promoting the development of rural informatization. The Central Committee wants to improve agricultural production, network management, digital management, and online services by applying modern information technology. So the information technology can serve agriculture better. As of the end of 2019,in terms of agricultural informatization, the urban Internet penetration rate was 74.6%,while the rural Internet penetration rate was only 38.4%.It can be seen that the Internet penetration rate in rural areas is far lower than that in urban areas. However,it requires certain skills and higher knowledge to promote and utilize agricultural information technology for farmers. However, the aging of the rural population has an impact on the knowledge and skills of the agricultural labor force, which has a certain impact on the development of agricultural informatization. In the context of population aging, how to further improve the rural informatization in our country has become an urgent issue to be researched. Therefore, this article researches the impact of the aging of rural population on agricultural informatization in our country and proposals corresponding countermeasures. This paper mainly uses the methods of statistical analysis and econometric analysis to study the following contents: First,to define the relevant core concepts;Secondly,it expounds the present situation and characteristics of rural population aging in China. And then predict its development trend. At the same time, this paper summarizes the level of agricultural informatization and sorts out the possible problems in the process of informatization development. Finally, empirical analysis reveals the relationship between rural population aging and agricultural informatization, and puts forward relevant policy suggestions. This paper conducts an empirical analysis, which was based on the panel data of 31 provinces, and utilizes the entropy method to synthesize the agricultural informatization index.it establishes a fixed-effect model via the provincial panel data and analyzes the impact of population aging on agricultural informatization. The empirical results show that:(1)The aging of the rural population will have a certain degree of restraint on the development of agricultural informatization.Due to the effect of "low fertility rate and dual urban-rural structure",younger people have left the countryside to work in cities, which results in a deeper rate of the rural aging population. While the elderly have poor acceptance of information equipment such as the Internet and mobile phones, which is not conducive to the development of agriculture informatization;(2)The aging of the rural population will increase, which will increase the burden of supporting the elderly for the family. The increase in household consumption for medical care and elderly care costs will inevitably lead to a reduction in household expenditures. The development of agricultural informatization depends on the share of information equipment such as wireless networks, computers, telephones, smartphones, and televisions in rural areas.Informational equipment requires capital investment,so the aggravation of the population aging problem is not conducive to the development of agricultural informatization;(3)Education plays an active role in promoting the development of agricultural informatization. The higher the level of education, the higher the acceptance of agricultural informatization,so that farmers can better learn agricultural skills and production machinery;on the other hand, college students who have received a good education return to their hometowns to start businesses and use the Internet big data and rural e-commerce.They play a positive role in promoting the development of agricultural informatization.Based on the empirical results, the article puts forward policy recommendations in the following aspects: make full use of the labor resources by delaying the "retirement" age of the elderly labor;improve the rural social security system to reduce the burden of family support for the elderly;increase capital investment and improve the role of capital factors and give full play to the role of the market;and promote the diversification of the main part of agricultural informatization and other suggestions. |
