The people’s Self Defense Corps is an anti Japanese armed force composed of the people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China during the Anti Japanese war.It is an important carrier for the Communist Party of China to implement the thought of "people’s war" during the comprehensive anti Japanese war.It is also a manifestation that the Communist Party of China has become the mainstay of the Chinese nation’s Anti Japanese war.It has played a vital role in the consolidation and development of the Anti Japanese base areas and the final victory of the Anti Japanese war.This paper selects Shandong Anti Japanese base area during the Anti Japanese war as the time and space scope,takes the people’s Self Defense Corps as the research object,deeply analyzes the process of the people’s Self Defense Corps led by the Communist Party of China against the Japanese invaders,and expounds in detail how the people’s self Defense Corps was born,developed and expanded under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,and what contributions the people’s Self Defense Corps made to the Anti Japanese war in Shandong in this process,Sum up the successful historical experience of the party leading the people’s Self Defense Corps.This paper mainly adopts various methods such as literature research,inductive and deductive research,historical research and case analysis,based on the archives of Shandong Provincial Archives and published archives,combined with old newspapers,local chronicles and other materials,to restore the whole process of the development of the people’s Self Defense Corps in Shandong Anti Japanese base area,from the historical background,development stage,establishment and leadership system of the people’s Self Defense Corps in Shandong Anti Japanese base area Historical contribution and experience summary are discussed in five aspects.The full text focuses on the following aspects:First,the historical background of the rise of the people’s Self Defense Corps in Shandong.Based on the clues of the formation of the Anti Japanese army and the reconstruction of the people’s Liberation Army in Shandong at the initial stage of the Anti Japanese War,we can explore the key basis of the formation of the Anti Japanese army in Shandong and the reconstruction of the people’s Liberation Army in Shandong.Second,the historical stage of the development of the people’s Self Defense Corps in Shandong Anti Japanese base area.The development of the people’s Self Defense Corps can be divided into three stages.The first period began with the outbreak of the July 7th incident in July 1937 and ended with the promulgation of the regulations of the people’s Self Defense Corps in December 1940.During this period,the party mainly launched the self-defense corps and initially integrated the self-defense corps,which was the initial stage of the self-defense Corps.The second period began with the promulgation of the regulations of the Corps and the refinement of its functions have been constantly adjusted to give full play to the strength of the masses in the war of resistance against Japan.In fact,the change of the establishment and leadership system is essentially the process of the party’s overall leadership over the people’s Self Defense Corps.Fourth,the historical contribution of the people’s Self Defense Corps in Shandong Anti Japanese base area.The people’s Self Defense Corps played an important role in the consolidation and expansion of Shandong Anti Japanese base areas and made important contributions to
