A Practical Study On The Promotion Of Spiritual Comfort To The Elderly Empty-nest In Urban Community By Social Work

In recent years,with the rapid development of our economy,the continuous improvement of medical and health conditions and the gradual improvement of social security system,the quality of life of the people has been greatly improved,and the average life expectancy of people has also been extended.Due to the large population base in China,and the change in the concept of fertility among young people,it is inevitable that our country will go through a long period of aging population.According to the article published by the National Working Committee on ageing,China's aging stage will go through three stages:rapid aging,accelerated aging,and severe aging.By then,the aging level of China will be basically stable at about 31%.An increasing number of elderly people are inevitably faced with a common problem,that is,the old-age,and the perfect social security system makes the elderly living in cities now have more material conditions for self-supporting.Older people,especially those living alone,need more satisfaction from the spiritual level.As a scientific and professional discipline,social work can make full use of its professional ideas and techniques to provide high quality services to the elderly in urban communities in order to meet the needs of satisfying the needs of the elderly.While the elderly have spiritual needs,they can also improve their ability to comfort themselves.This study takes the elderly empty-nest elderly living in community G as the research object,using questionnaires and interviews to investigate and analyze the mental life status of 30 elderly empty-nesters in the community.It is found that the mental comfort of the elderly empty-nest elderly in community G is not enough at present,which is mainly manifested in the fear of loneliness and the lack of emotional support.Life is monotonous,and cultural and recreational resources are scarce.Then the author uses the group work and community work of the three professional methods of social work as practical methods to study the role of social work in improving the elderly empty nest elderly in G community.The study found that the elderly empty-nesters in community G met their spiritual and cultural needs to some extent in the process of group and community activities,and at the same time make many new peer groups.Expanding its original social support network.Of course,the strength of social work itself is limited,in order to thoroughly solve the elderly empty nest elderly mental comfort in G community,we also need to start from the elderly themselves,their families,social work station and community neighborhood committee four angles.
