Lenin and Rosa Luxemburg are both influential Marxist theorists and politicians in the history of the socialist revolutionary movement.There has been both profound friendship and fierce debate between them.This paper studies the debate between Lenin and Rosa Luxemburg around the Inner-Party Political life,deeply analyzes their social background and personal experience,and expounds their consensus and differences on the party’s organization,democratic centralism,Party discipline and mass view in the InnerParty Political life.Lenin and Rosa Luxemburg both highly agreed that proletarian political parties must establish a unified party organization,stressed the principle of democratic centralism in party political life,paid attention to abiding by Party discipline,and agreed to give full play to the pioneering role of the people.The party’s "organic unity" can only be achieved through the party’s strict organizational discipline and Leninist principles;Rosa Luxemburg believes that the organizational unity of the party depends on the organizational spirit with more freedom of activities,and inner-party opportunism can be overcome through the combination of theoretical education and spontaneous movement.On the issue of democratic centralism,Lenin believed that the party must be established according to the principle of centralism,firmly establish the authority of the Party Central Committee and adhere to the leadership of the party;Luxembourg criticized Lenin’s proposition and proposed that the party should establish self centralism and give full play to the creativity of Party members and the masses and Party organizations at all levels.On the issue of Party discipline,Lenin pointed out that proletarian political parties must implement iron discipline;Luxembourg believes that Party discipline should be based on voluntary obedience.On the issue of the concept of the masses,Lenin believed that the party should instill the consciousness of the proletariat into the working masses and lead them to carry out conscious revolutionary struggle;Luxembourg stressed that the party should respect the spontaneity of the masses and the revolutionary movement and give full play to the initiative of the masses.Lenin and Rosa Luxemburg have great differences of opinion on different issues in the political life of the party,mainly because they are in different countries and political parties and have different personal characteristics and political identities,which makes them have different emphases on these issues.The thought formed by the two in the debate not only provides important theoretical support for the political life construction of the Marxist ruling party,but also becomes the theoretical source of Lenin’s inner-party democratic thought.Nowadays,the study of the debate between Lenin and Rosa Luxemburg on Inner-Party Political life has important enlightenment for the CPC to seriously Inner-Party Political Life in the new era. |
