In recent years,due to the deepening of education system reform and the rapid development of economy and society,China’s higher education shows the trend of transition from elitist education to universal education.With the rapid development of China’s economy and the emergence of emerging industries,college students’ choice of career is no longer limited to the traditional concept of employment,and the demand for career stability is declining.College students have more choices.College students are faced with different career choices,and they don’t know how to make decisions and face many problems.And college students’ employment problem of the graduation season is the whole social concerns,once can’t reasonable solve career decision-making problem of its own,individual nodes in the process of their own career,easy to make the wrong decision,even if its decisions in accordance with their individual characteristics,but while in office will frequent self doubt,cope with difficulties,a lot of psychological distress,such as psychological anxiety and career resilience to improve or improve is not achieved overnight,need time of accumulation and practice exercise to achieve them.Therefore,it is an important goal of vocational education to cultivate the career adaptability of first-year college students,improve the individual’s adaptability in the career field,and achieve the success of the individual’s career.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 1401 freshmen,including 414 male and 987 female,using perfectionism,sense of professional mission and career adaptability.The main results are as follows:(1)There were significant correlations among perfectionism,career mission and career adaptability of freshmen;(2)Self-perfectionism is a significantly negative predictor of career adaptability;Other-perfectionism was a significantly negative predictor of career adaptability.Social perfectionism is a significantly positive predictor of career adaptability;Emotion is a significant negative predictor of career adaptability.Cognitive behavior is a significant positive predictor of career resilience;(3)Career sense of mission can positively predict career adaptability.Professional sense of mission plays an intermediary role in the relationship between the four dimensions of perfectionist personality(excluding emotional dimension)and the level of career adaptability;(4)The results of multi-group comparison show that the social perfectionism of both female and male groups can significantly positively predict the level of career adaptability,and the male group is larger than the female group.The cognitive behaviors of both female and male groups can significantly positively predict the level of career adaptability,and the male group is larger than the female group.For female students,other-perfectionism can significantly and negatively predict occupational mission,while for male students,other-perfectionism can significantly and positively predict occupational mission,and female students are larger than male students.
