Education supervision is an important part of education management.The essence of education supervision is that the state supervises and guides the education work,which is an important guarantee for promoting the liberal education in an all-round way.Among them,the educational supervisors are the main body of the educational supervision,shoulder the heavy responsibility of exercising the supervision authority and carrying out the supervision work,their ability and quality directly affect the level and quality of our country’s supervision work.In recent years,the government has actively promoted the development of the area of responsibility for educational supervision,and China has entered a new stage of promoting the development of the area of responsibility supervision in an all-round way,as an important measure to promote the development of the area of responsibility for educational supervision,the improvement of the competence of the inspection team has attracted more and more attention from all walks of life.The purpose of this paper is to probe into the professional competence of the Middle School inspector in Guangzhou,to explore the influencing factors of the competence,and to find out the relevant strategies to improve the competence.This article mainly uses the literature research method,the behavior event interview method and the questionnaire survey method,unifies the Cite Space and the Word2007 software to carry on the analysis.First of all,the author uses the method of literature research to comb the relevant materials at home and abroad about the responsibility area of educational supervision,Educational Supervision and competence,secondly,it carries out on-the-spot investigation,uses the method of Behavioral Event Interview,and adopts the self-compiled form of middle school inspector’s ability to collect data,finally,the author uses the questionnaire survey method and the interview method to analyze and sum up the promotion strategy of the competency of the school inspector in Guangzhou.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:First,the competence of educational supervisors in Guangzhou is divided into four dimensions: knowledge,motivation,accomplishment and skill,it includes 35 competency characteristics,such as knowledge of Education Supervision,achievement orientation,love of education,energy,ability of making strategic target system,ability of developing decision-making and mobilization,ability of systematic thinking,flexible thinking,ability of writing expression and ability of dealing with major emergencies.Second,based on the analysis of the actual investigation,the author puts forward the strategies to improve the competency of Guangzhou Inspector: Based on the Knowledge Dimension,improving on-the-job training,establishing the concept and consciousness of lifelong learning in the process of on-the-job training,and giving full play to the core role of the Department of Education Supervision;In the process of working,we should establish the partnership between the school and the teachers,pay attention to the needs of the school and promote the self-realization of the school,pay attention to the mental health of education supervisors in the process of work and play the role of environment creation in stress management,pre-and post-work training,in the pre-service training,we should bring into play the role of the Educational Supervision Organization as a link,play the role of team cooperation in the on-the-job process,and perfect the post-job training.
